How to Find a Godly Mentor (and become one!) | Life Leadership Part 3

Whether you are looking for a mentor to guide your steps or feeling the nudge to pour into someone else, this episode is for you. We are diving into the life of Elisha to uncover how preparation, humility, and a double portion of boldness can transform you into the leader God has called you to be. I am so glad you are here for part three of our series on Life Leadership. We are talking about something so close to my heart: mentorship. We often disqualify ourselves because of our past or because we didn't grow up in a "ministry family," but I want to remind you that you can be the vanguard. You can be the first generation to set a new tone for your family and your community. By looking at how Jesus invested in the twelve and how Elijah prepared Elisha, we can see a clear roadmap for our own growth. Key Takeaways from Elisha’s Preparation Accept Your Anointing: Just as Elisha was called to succeed Elijah, you must understand and own the specific role God has for you without shrinking back. Cultivate a Servant’s Heart: Elisha was found plowing a field. True leadership starts with a willingness to get low and serve, even in the "unseen" tasks. Wait on God’s Timing: There is often a long gap between the moment the "mantle" is thrown on you and the moment you step into authority. Use your waiting season to be transformed. Heal Past Wounds: Elisha asked to kiss his parents goodbye, reminding us that leaders must respect authority and find healing from past family triggers to lead healthily. Burn the Bridges: When Elisha burned his farming tools, he committed fully to his new calling. Surrender your former ambitions to embrace the new thing God is doing. Pursue Good Mentors: Don’t be afraid to be bold. Seek out wise, godly people, get under their leadership, and learn everything you can from their lives. Hunger for Growth: Be a student of the Word and a student of those you admire. Listen to the lessons, do your research, and ensure everything aligns with Truth. The Power of Two-Way Pouring: Mentorship is a circle. As you pour into others, you will find that you are also refreshed and inspired by their transformation. Are you ready to stop making excuses and start growing? If you feel the Lord stirring your heart to be mentored personally, I would love to walk alongside you. How to Stay Disciplined When You Don’t Feel Like It | Life Leadership Part 2 | Alita Reynolds | Women of Faith

Stop settling for temporary motivation when God has called you to live a life of lasting influence. This episode discovers the vital difference between fickle feelings and the biblical discipline required to lead others toward Christ. We are continuing our series on life leadership by digging into how we can move past our excuses and start living with a spirit of self-control. I am sharing some of my own "kindergarten artistry" and very personal examples to show you that while the path isn't always a straight line, discipline with grace is what allows us to bear fruit that lasts. Here are the key takeaways from this episode: Motivation vs Discipline: Motivation is a fickle emotion that starts and stops, but discipline is the everlasting fuel rooted in Jesus that keeps us moving toward our goals. The Wisdom of the Ant: Learn why discipline is self-governed and why we should not wait for a prince or a ruler to tell us to do what the Lord has already called us to do. The Comparison Trap: Why it is essential to stay well-rooted in your own assignment rather than being jealous of the success others have worked hard to achieve. Pushing the Boulder: Discover how consistency turns a difficult, uphill struggle into a "flat ground" habit that eventually becomes second nature. The Time Audit: We debunk the "no time" excuse by looking at our 168 hours a week and identifying what is actually controlling our schedule. Movement Over Mood: Why we must never let our current feelings dictate our actions and how to take the first step regardless of how we feel. Five Practical Hacks: I share my favorite tips for building discipline, including the 1-2-3 Rule, Eating the Frog, and setting daily non-negotiables. I would love to hear what the Lord is convicting you to change in your own life as you listen. I’m wildly cheering you!  Alita Reynolds 💎 Mentoring with Alita is now available! Why Spirit Led Women Need Healthy Routines | Life Leadership Part 1 | Alita Reynolds | Women of Faith

What does it really mean to be a life leader? In this first episode of the Life Leadership series, Alita Reynolds shares how Jesus modeled intentional routines, spiritual rhythms, and everyday habits that quietly influenced everyone around Him. This conversation will encourage you to lead yourself well, stay rooted in God, and influence others toward Christ through the way you live your daily life. Together, we talk about what it means to influence others toward Jesus through consistency, spiritual maturity, healthy routines, and intentional living. This is not about titles, platforms, or performance. It is about becoming the kind of woman whose life naturally points people toward Christ. Jesus Himself modeled rhythms of prayer, solitude, scripture, and serving from overflow instead of exhaustion. If we want to live the life God has called us to live, we must build intentional habits that keep us connected to Him. Top points from this episode: What “Life Leadership” really means and why every believer is already influencing others The difference between leadership through position and leadership through everyday living The three directions of influence: leading south, east and west, and north Why your private routines shape your public influence Jesus’s consistent rhythm of habitual prayer and intentional time with the Father How scripture creates stability before pressure and difficult seasons arise Why solitude and stepping away from noise is essential for spiritual clarity The importance of serving others from overflow instead of emptiness How healthy spiritual habits help prevent decision fatigue and reactive living Breaking generational patterns by allowing living water to overflow into the next generation. Stop Trying to Be Like Jesus & Do This Instead | Alita Reynolds | Women of Faith

What if sanctification is not complicated at all, but something you are already being invited to walk in every day? In this episode, I break down what it really means to live a life that is pleasing to God in a simple and practical way. This is about real transformation, not striving, and learning how to let Jesus live through you. I am walk with you through what sanctification looks like in real life and how it shapes the way you think, live, and respond each day. My heart is to help you move from confusion or pressure into clarity, peace, and confidence in your walk with the Lord. Here are the key takeaways from this episode: Sanctification is simply living a pure life that is aligned with God’s will and reflects His nature in your everyday life. True transformation is not about striving or trying harder, it is about surrender and allowing Jesus to live through you. There are two sides to sanctification:  Dying to self by laying down your own desires and ways.  Receiving new life as Jesus transforms you from the inside out. You are called to be exactly who God designed you to be, not a version of someone else. Letting go of what others think of you is a key step in walking in freedom and living out your assignment. A sanctified life reflects order, peace, and clarity because that is the nature of God. Practicing self discipline is not pressure, it is alignment with the Holy Spirit and an act of worship. Sanctification is not imitation, it is impartation. It is the life of Jesus being expressed through you. Transformation happens over time as you stay close to God and continue to surrender daily. You are not doing this alone. God is working in you, giving you both the desire and the power to live a life that pleases Him. This is the will of God, your sanctification. As you lean into Him, you will begin to see your life change in ways that are real, steady, and lasting. You are becoming more like Jesus, one step at a time. You’re Not Offended… You’re Disappointed | Freedom from Offense Part 4 | Alita Reynolds | Women of Faith

What if the reason you feel hurt in relationships is not what people did, but what you expected? In this episode of this series, we uncover how unrealistic and unspoken expectations quietly lead to offense. This conversation will help you walk in freedom, clarity, and deeper peace in your relationships. I want to walk with you through something that has personally challenged me and transformed the way I see relationships. So many of the offenses we carry are not rooted in betrayal, but in assumptions, unmet expectations, and disappointment we never slowed down to recognize. As women of faith, we are not called to live easily offended. We are called to reflect Jesus in the way we love, forgive, and extend grace. When you become aware of how expectations are shaping your reactions, you begin to step into a new level of freedom. Here are some of the key takeaways from this episode: Offense often starts with unspoken expectations that were never communicated• Many offenses are rooted in assumptions, not intentional harm• Placing God sized expectations on people leads to disappointment and hurt• People cannot fulfill what only God was designed to provide• Expecting healed responses from unhealed people creates unnecessary offense• Understanding where someone is helps you guard your heart without excusing behavior• Jesus modeled relationships with clarity and without unrealistic expectations• Disappointment is often a signal of misplaced expectations• Freedom begins when you release expectations that were never meant to be there My heart for you is that you would live light, free, and deeply connected to Jesus. You do not have to carry the weight of disappointment. When you allow God to be your source and release unrealistic expectations, you create space for grace, peace, and healthy relationships. The Hidden Way Offense Is Destroying Your Relationships | Freedom from Offense Part 3 | Alita Reynolds | Women of Faith

Have you ever found yourself slowly pulling away from someone and you could not quite explain why? What if that distance did not happen all at once, but formed quietly through small moments of offense? In this episode, we talk about how offense creeps in, how it affects our relationships, and how we can choose unity instead. In this conversation, I want to help you recognize how offense works beneath the surface and how to walk in the kind of unity that reflects Jesus to the world. Offense rarely happens all at once. It builds slowly through small misunderstandings, assumptions, and unaddressed hurt  The enemy often uses offense to divide relationships when he cannot pull you away from your faith  Unity is part of our witness. When we walk in love and forgiveness, the world sees Jesus more clearly Three ways offense leads to disunity: Isolation: pulling away instead of leaning in weakens connection and distorts perspective  Rejection: when left unprocessed, it can turn into offense instead of healing Blame: keeps us stuck and prevents growth and restoration Three ways to protect unity and stay free from offense: Generosity: be generous with encouragement, grace, and forgiveness  Humility: choose to take ownership, listen, and seek restoration  Curiosity: ask questions instead of assuming motives and allow understanding to grow You were created for relationship, and you do not have to live guarded, distant, or divided. We can choose to protect unity, walk in love, and stay free from offense together. What are You Actually Angry About? | Freedom from Offense Part 2 | Alita Reynolds | Women of Faith

Have you ever felt like something small triggered a big reaction in you, and you could not quite explain why? In this episode, we uncover how offense often hides beneath everyday emotions and how God invites us into a life of true freedom. This is not about ignoring what you feel, it is about transforming how you respond so you can live fully aligned with Him. In this episode, we walk through what it really means to live free from offense and how letting go of anger opens the door to deeper intimacy with Jesus. Offense is often rooted in emotions we overlook such as irritation, frustration, bitterness, or feeling hurt, all of which trace back to anger.  Many of us do not realize we are living offended because these emotions feel normal, but they are not how God designed us to live.  Ephesians 4:26 reminds us that while we may feel anger, we are not meant to hold onto it or let it lead us into sin.  We tend to judge ourselves by our intentions and others by their actions, which fuels misunderstanding and offense.  Our hearts can be deceptive, which is why we must rely on God’s truth instead of our own perspective.  Forgiveness is not about the other person deserving it, it is about surrendering your right to resentment and choosing freedom.  Anger never produces the righteousness God desires, as seen in James 1:20.  Living offended creates distance between you and God and limits your ability to love others well.  Choosing to love and pray for those who offend you is one of the most freeing and life giving decisions you can make.  As followers of Jesus, we are called to be the most unoffendable people, reflecting His grace, mercy, and humility in every interaction. Friend, this is an invitation to examine your heart, release what you have been holding onto, and step into a new level of freedom. You do not have to carry offense anymore. You can choose love. You can choose grace. You can choose a life that reflects Jesus in a powerful way.
