    Scream 4 (2011) – A Soft Reboot That Actually Rips

This week we're kicking off a brand new segment on the show: once a month, we're pitting two deliriously stupid movies against each other in the same episode, and we couldn't think of a better place to start than a sentient magic dirt bike saving a hot dog stand and a two-headed man tearing across the countryside on that exact same bike. Buckle up, because dirt bikes and dickheads is officially our theme. In this episode, we discuss: A Bike Powered by Magic (and Child's Assholes) — We break down how a broke kid trades his grocery money for a supercharged, sentient dirt bike that flies, fights bulldozers, and somehow gets arrested by actual police.     Obsession (2026) - The One-Wish Willow was a Terrible Gift Idea

    Obsession (2026) Director: Curry Barker Starring: Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrette, Andy Richter, Cooper Tomlinson One wish. One willow. One absolutely insufferable dude who ruins it for everybody. This week Sean and John dive headfirst into Curry Barker's breakout horror hit *Obsession*, and let's just say... they did not walk away polar opposite on this one. Between career-best gore, a killer lead performance, and a male lead John would gladly throw off a roof, this episode gets heated fast. Buckle up. In This Episode, We Discuss The One-Wish Willow Was a Terrible Idea — Bear makes a wish he can't take back, and the guys break down how one dumb decision spirals into full obsession-horror chaos. Bear: A Character Study in Spinelessness — John goes scorched-earth on Bear, the "whiny bitch" at the center of the movie, while Sean tries (and mostly fails) to talk him off the ledge.     Backrooms (2026) – The Liminal Space Horror Film Where If I Find That Door, I'm Charging Admission

    BACKROOMS (2026) Director: Kane Parsons (Kane Pixels) Cast: Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett What if the walls of your crumbling life literally swallowed you whole? That's Backrooms — the 2026 horror film from YouTube phenom Kane Parsons (aka Kane Pixels), who built an entire mythology out of liminal spaces and creepypasta lore before Hollywood came knocking. This week, John and Sean strap in for a trip through fluorescent-lit, carpeted nightmare fuel — and land on completely opposite ends of the spectrum. Shocking. Truly shocking. In this episode, we discuss: To Backroom or Not to Backroom — Sean's all in on the suffocating unease and Lynchian vibes; John thinks it's an hour and fifty minutes of nonsensical b******t dressed up in yellow wallpaper. Both are correct, depending on your tolerance for movies that refuse to explain themselves. The Art of Not Having a Story — Is vagueness a feature or a bug? The guys go deep on whether a movie can sustain itself on atmosphere alone, what "making you feel" is worth versus "making you think," and why John would absolutely burn that furniture store to the ground rather than re-enter the backrooms. Clark: Idiot or Everyman? — Chiwetel Ejiofor gives a genuinely compelling performance as a failed architect spiraling into a dimension he has no business being in. Sean's impressed. John's irritated that he doesn't leave a bread trail. A deviled egg plate goes uneaten. Crimes were committed. The Kane Pixels Pipeline — From 4chan creepypasta to YouTube shorts to a wide theatrical release, the guys dig into how this whole Backrooms mythology got built, why you probably don't need to watch the short films first, and whether this thing is setting up sequels that John definitely does not want. We Also Talked About: Paris Is Burning (1990) (Tubi) — Jennie Livingston's landmark documentary on New York's Black and Latino LGBTQ+ ballroom scene. Sean caught it on a Delta flight and came away genuinely moved. A time capsule of voguing, shade-throwing, and cultural influence that most of mainstream America doesn't even know they've been borrowing from for decades. Streetwise (1984) (Youtube) — A gut-punch cinema verité doc following homeless street kids in Seattle. Not uplifting. Not comfortable. Absolutely worth watching if you can handle it. Sean watched this alone in a hotel room, which is honestly the correct environment. Dark Side of the Ring: Samoa Joe vs. Necro Butcher (Season 7) (Youtube) — Possibly one of the best episodes the series has ever produced. A deep dive into a blood-soaked 10-minute indie match that somehow sustains a 50-minute documentary. Sean calls it top five all-time. One Nine Nine Four (2009) (Youtube)— A Tony Hawk-narrated documentary about the mid-'90s punk rock explosion and the Epitaph/Fat Wreck Chords scene. Bands like Green Day and The Offspring, the music industry machinery behind them, and a lot of nostalgia for an era where half the subjects are still alive. Quarterback, Season 3 (Netflix) — Joe Flacco, Jayden Daniels, Baker Mayfield, and Cam Ward. Flacco's the most interesting guy on the show despite being the one no one expected to care about. Daniels spends most of the season in a boot. Ward says stuff that sounds dumb because he's young. Baker's Baker. Vampire's Kiss (1988) (Tubi) — Nicolas Cage gets bitten by the woman from Flashdance and spends ninety minutes committing to a baffling British accent while slowly becoming (maybe?) a vampire.     OnlyFangs (2025) Director: Angelica De Alba, Paul Ragsdale Starring: Nina Lane Kent, Drew Marvik, Kansas Bowling, Jessa Flux A bloodsucking girl gang builds an app to keep the blood — and the subscribers — flowing. This week we sink our teeth into OnlyFangs, the crowdfunded, indie vampire-comedy that takes the classic "monster hides among us" story and drags it kicking and screaming into the OnlyFans era. We break down what works, what doesn't, and why this thing runs a full two hours when it probably didn't need to. In this episode, we discuss: Vampires: Monetizing the Undead – We dig into the movie's cleverest idea: a bloodthirsty gang of vampire women launching their own subscription app to turn horny fans into a self-replenishing food source. Modern, dumb, and weirdly plausible. Two Hours Is a Lot of Hours – The runtime debate gets heated. One of us thinks this crowdfunded director's-cut energy is part of the charm; the other thinks 20 minutes of every hour could hit the cutting room floor without losing a single plot beat.     Stone Cold (1991) – Skunk-Tail Jacket, Explosions, and Guys Diving Through Windows

    Stone Cold (1991) Director: Craig R. Baxley Starring: Brian Bosworth, Lance Henriksen, William Forsythe, Richard Gant Somewhere in 1991, a man in a skunk-tail alligator duster looked at a grocery store full of Ritz crackers and decided they had to die. That man was Brian "The Boz" Bosworth, and the movie is Stone Cold — the single greatest hour and 32 minutes of biker-gang, courthouse-siege, dummy-flying-through-glass action cinema you've never watched. We break down why this ex-NFL bust of a leading man somehow delivers, why Lance Henriksen makes everything better just by showing up, and why this might be the most purely entertaining B-action movie we've covered on the show. In this episode, we discuss: The Boz, Cinema's Greatest Accidental Action Hero – Brian Bosworth's mulleted, skunk-tail-jacketed debut shouldn't work, but somehow it does. We argue he's criminally underrated and nowhere near as bad as his post-NFL reputation suggests. The Worst Undercover Cops in Movie History – Bosworth and his partner blow their cover approximately every ten minutes, in broad daylight, with the subtlety of a marching band. We break down every hilariously botched sting operation.     In the Mouth of Madness (1994) – I'm Not Insane, Says the Insane Guy

    In the Mouth of Madness (1994) Directed by John Carpenter Starring: Sam Neill, Jürgen Prochnow, Julie Carmen, David Warner There's a scene in In the Mouth of Madness with a "little f*****g flappy arm thing" pretending to be an unspeakable cosmic horror, and honestly, that's the whole movie in a nutshell. This week we dig into John Carpenter's 1994 slow-burn descent into madness starring Sam Neill as an insurance investigator who gets way, way too invested in finding a missing horror novelist. Spoiler: reality is a construct and also everyone in New Hampshire is exceptionally f*****g stupid. In this episode, we discuss: Sam Neill Carries This Whole Damn Movie — He's arrogant, he's a prick, and he still manages to sell a believable descent into madness. We break down why his performance is doing more heavy lifting than anyone else in the cast. The Flappy Arm Problem — When your Lovecraftian monster looks like a dollar-store bath toy, you've got issues. We get into why the movie's practical effects and CGI just don't hold up, especially next to what Jurassic Park and Terminator 2 were doing years earlier on bigger budgets. Two-Thirds Boring, One-Third Bonkers — We go back and forth on pacing: one of us thinks it's a slow burn that pays off, the other thinks it's a whole lot of driving around New England before anything actually happens.
