    Jaybees Low Tech Podcast Shut Up and Tote That Ball? W/Jay Bee

    The show starts off a little different as usual. I go straight to commercial. When I come back, I begin with the news on a BIG XII player and bid to make a come back. Way is this so hard for the schools to accept when one of their knuckle heads screw up. Then some light hits on what was the big news out of the B1G meetings last week. Then I hit with news coming out of the SEC meetings this week. Also, the one topic they have magically gone silent on. The topic of the day starts off with a story from the NFL and how the action of one it's players has maybe split up a locker room before the season. Then I discuss why the much sought after relief of the SCORE ACT was never voted on.  Which leads me to talk about a heavy ask by the NAACP to their in this country. It's a heavy one and it will place a lot of pressure on young people as they make the biggest decision o the lives at this point.  I finish the pod by re-visiting the NFL story that I started the heaviness with in this episode.     MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH! Talking Season has stated in College sports. Conference leaders are meeting led by the ACC this pass. This episode has to do with what they are saying and doing. The ACC batted lead off for this new season, find out what the biggest thing to come out their meetings. Congress is talking and maybe getting closer to passing bills. I let you in what's going on on Capitol Hill. Lane Kiffin tried to do some explaining and as usual, ole Lane put his foot in mouth. I explain what he said , where he said it and why he he thought needed to speak. This topic moved me to give  some insights on a greater topic, broached by Lane. Lastly, I cut a vain open and do the Un-Minnesota thing. I spoke ill of the "Minnesota Way''. Find out when I was taught to do it and why we do it at the University of Minnesota. I discuss why continuing to do so on the campus of the U. of MN. is killing the athletic dept or at least dooming it to mediocre life in college athletics.     It was alumni week for me at the athletic dept. As I attended a gathering of former Gopher Employees. A couple of days later attended alumni day of Gopher Baseball. I start this episode off with a salute former Gopher's Softball coach Piper Ritter, who was relieved of her duties on Friday. I then called for the firing of Present Gopher A.D. Mark Coyle and my reasoning for his dis-missle.  I move onto Purposed rule changes by leaders of college athletics. No more waiting for FCS to FBS schools. The school President's got together to put pen to paper and you need to hear some of their ideas.  The word is out on how much the revenue stream produced in 2024-25 and how was the money split up.  They finally did it after much discussion and fix something that was not broken.     This episode touches different ports of the world of college sports. First I stop at the port of the college football playoffs. The leaders of CFB are doing there thang I inform you of what these clowns are up to.  I move on to the port of the NFL draft, I discuss the draft of 2026 in Pittsburgh.     How are those NCAA brackets going? If you still filling out one, you are a sucka. I explain why I have that opinion with facts. Maybe next year you'll ride the chalk.  Kyle Whittingham the former Utah head Football Coach. I lay down some crumbs on why he is now the Head football coach at the Univ. of Michigan. It has more to do with Utah than Michigan. BTW: he made out like a bandit. The Score act was not voted on in Dec. of 2025, I tell you why it was not and tell you it has to do with one man in college football. I discuss what was the fallout of the high powered and overrated meeting in the Whitehouse a couple weeks ago. I let you the reason for no executive order this time. Well, not yet.     Jaybees Low Tech Podcast Why Can't They Say NO!, W/Jay-Bee

    The inability of the leaders to say no to those who they need to is bursting budgets all the country in college sports. Tampering enforcement is causing the conference leader to fight over more items. Should the NCAA enforcement of roster tampering is hot topic. One conference wants to pause enforcement and some want to continue forward and prosecute they offending schools and one conference is talking out both sides of their mouth. Find out which conference is say what and why. They claim that budgets are out of control. Some schools are handling in a way that they promised to that not to do. I tell you promise you what promise isn't kept. Speaking of budget busting, what two letter word is not being said by Presidents, A.D.'s and Coaches and why not saying that is costing them billions of dollars in total in college sports. Agents, player reps and players abilities to always get the leaders to say a three letter words. If this is big business way is is it so had to say the two letter word that leads to control. Control of budgets, people, school athletic depts and conferences. Lastly, a racial issue with a deeper dive into why it's happening around the country at the Power 4 level of college basketball at this time of year.
