    The Anxious Bride’s Guide To Wedding Fayres

    If you’re new to wedding planning or are new to this whole world of wedding fairs/fayres/showcases/exhibitions (side note, they’re all the same thing!) then this is for you! If you suffer with anxiety, it’s nice to have some sense of control when we tackle new things so I’ve put together this guide to help you plan for attending a wedding fayre, what to expect while you’re there and what to do afterwards. I did forget to mention about how to find wedding fayres in your area (sorry!) - check out Facebook, Google “wedding fayres” or look out for banners advertising events in your local area to see what’s going on near you.     What’s a wedding directory? (And how do I use it?!)

    Today I’m explaining what wedding directories are and how you can use them as a resource in your wedding planning to streamline your process. In this episode I’ll share the difference between general and niche directories and give an insight into the resources they have on offer for you. They’re all free for you to access with a wealth of resources, so I hope you discover one that’s a good fit for you! I’ve not been paid to speak about any of the directories I mention today, but have chosen them based on my own experience of using them as a bride or wedding supplier.     One thing I hear so many brides saying is how overwhelmed they are. In fact, overwhelm can creep in at any point of the wedding planning journey (and beyond too!), so knowing how to manage those times can help you to be less hard on yourself. In this episode, I share my thoughts on why we get overwhelmed during wedding planning and some tips on how to manage when we feel that way, along with some stories from my personal experience.     Wedding Day Wellness - Do You Have A Plan?

    Have you thought about how you’re going to take care of yourself on your wedding day? I know it sounds a bit strange as you’ll have people around you all day, but it’s worth planning ahead, particularly if you struggle with your mental health or live with a chronic condition. In this episode, I’m sharing how I (badly!) navigated my wedding day with type 1 diabetes, how my need to people please came higher on my list than looking after myself and things I wish I’d done differently. All the thoughts here are my own and I’m not a medical professional, so if you need support with a condition on your wedding day, please speak with your medical team who will be able to give you the best advice. I’ll be sharing a few tips to think of now in preparation for your wedding day so you can take the stress off a little and make the most of your day together!
