    E6: What If God’s Power Doesn’t Look Like You Expected?

    What if God is working right in front of you—but because it doesn’t look the way you expected, you don’t recognize what you’re seeing? This week on Unveiled Roots, we’re stepping into Isaiah 52 and the beginning of one of the most powerful passages pointing us to Jesus. Before Isaiah ever tells us about the tender shoot, the root out of dry ground, the rejection, the suffering, or the cross, God tells us something first: His Servant will succeed. He will be raised up. He will be highly exalted. Then Isaiah gives us this incredible picture: “The LORD will lay bare his holy arm…” In other words, God is about to reveal His strength. His saving power. His salvation. So what does He reveal? Jesus. And this is where it gets really good—because when God revealed His power to the world, it didn’t look anything like humanity expected power to look. We’re digging into the difference between what God knew was happening and what human eyes thought was happening, why we’re so quick to measure God’s work by what we can see, and one question that may change the way you look at the seasons of your own life: What if God’s power doesn’t look like you expected?     When You're Barely Holding On

    This one is for the person who feels like they’re barely holding on. I didn’t sit down to record a full teaching. I just felt like I needed to jump on and encourage the one who feels tired, overwhelmed, and maybe even a little afraid to let go because control has felt like the only thing keeping everything together. But Psalm 31 reminds us that God is our refuge, our fortress, and our Rock. And here's a golden nugget: warfare in this season isn’t about striving harder. It's about surrender. It's opening your hands and saying, “Lord, I trust You with what I cannot fix, what I cannot carry, and what I cannot control.” If that’s where you are, I pray this reminds you that God has not left you in this season. He is still holding you. Be strong. Take courage. Put your hope in the Lord.Psalm 31:24
