    Sacha Shipway on Levelling the Playing Field

Welcome back to episode 7 where Beau and Deb will chat with Sacha Shipway, a former international netballer turned sports journalist. Sacha first fell in love with netball at her local Little League club in Birmingham. From there, she qualified to play for the first team at the university of Dublin and went on to trial and ultimately qualify to play for the Irish national team for five years. In this weeks episode the girls take a deep dive to examine the financial barriers to women in elite sport, the inequity that is prevalent in both sports science and the promotion of women’s sport and the ways in which we can propel women’s sport forwards in the future.
