The Memorial of a Shy Black Girl is a spoken word diary by DaAujana Florence, focused on a journey of growth in different seasons of life that helps create space for healing, love, and courage. The goal of T.M.O.A.S.B.G is to share the testimonies of life in hopes that it can help others reflect and grow in their identity, Godfidence, and self-love. Loneliness and feelings that can result from fear or isolation are not uncommon, and they impact many people, but the one certain thing is that there is nothing that is too great to grow from with community, God, and a safe space. DaAujana invites you into this safe space, a place where she can share the ups and downs of life, moments of conviction and discernment, and times of joy. We are all impacted by the actions of our world and community. Instead of remaining isolated, DaAujana encourages YOU to step into your storytelling and use your voice to uplift those around you, our Heavenly Father, and yourself. She hopes that her courage to share her voice encourages you all to feel empowered to truly be unapologetically yourselves and slowly show people just how blessed and highly favored you are.

    What's up, family?! I hope you are all doing so well and having an amazing start to May :) Y'all, I'm so excited for this diary entry as it's something that was heavily on my heart and I just thought it was really important to talk about. Navigating expectations from your family is not easy, and sometimes, our family, unintentionally or unknowingly, can cause more pressure than they realize, and it can create fear, resentment, or frustration within ourselves. Truly, I believe that the majority of our loved ones want the best for us and simply don't want us to make the same mistakes they did, but what if they simply let go and trusted that God would not let us fall and that his will is perfect? What if we surrendered our lives to him because his opinion and expectations are truly the only things that matter? We dive deeper into these questions and more in this diary entry, and I pray that God speaks to you in every way that he wants to. I pray that you feel comfort, seen, and understood in this entry, knowing that you're not alone in this journey of navigating life and faith.     What's up, family?! In this week's diary entry, we're talking about waiting... yeah, we don't like to do much of that, and I know that I definitely don't, but it's so incredibly important to steward good things and the things that matter even in the season of waiting. I've been in a season of waiting for some time now, and it's definitely not easy... it's scary, uneasy, and unpredictable. However, I believe that God has so many words of comfort for us that we have to be open and willing to hear and discern in the season of waiting. God has so much love for us, and He doesn't make us wait because He wants us to suffer not knowing what's to come, but instead, it could be for several things, some of which could be protection, maturity, and discernment. I know I've definitely had my time and continue to have my time with these things, and ultimately, the season of waiting is more valuable than we realize. I pray that you find comfort in this diary entry and that God speaks to you in whatever way that He deems necessary.     Hello, my luvs! I hope all is so well and happiest of holidays✨ Can y'all believe that it's almost 2024?! Crazyyy. Any who, for today's diary entry, we did some sorting, lol... sorting of thoughts to be exact and I dive into conversation about faith, beauty standards, relationships, etc etc. I felt really good about today's entry and it just felt super duper organic today(idk what that really means, but it felt good talking to y'all about these specific topics😊).     Ndewo, ezinaụlọ! Ahhhh I missed y'all😭 It has been waaaay too long, but I'm finally back and I'm so excited to be sharing with you guys again. I hope all of you are doing incredibly well and have been showing yourselves lots of love and patience🤎 In this diary entry, I wanted to update y'all on all of the things that have happened since we last spoke(which was in January😗), lol. This semester has been one crazy ride, to say the least, and I have experienced a lot of ups and downs in my emotions, friendships, and just overall life. I wanted to give myself a chance to catch up with y'all and just really be vulnerable and honest about how I've been feeling and just allow all of you to listen and maybe see yourselves in my stories or just relate somehow.     S2 Diary Entry #3: "Chop More Life"

    How far ezinaụlọ (trans: family)?! I hope all of you are doing so incredibly well, I missed you guys- it's been a while and I'm really excited to be back and reflecting as much as possible with you all💫 In this week's diary entry, I did a lil recap of my first semester of sophomore year... I reflected on all of the highs and lows of the semester and some of the things that I had to work through and learn from in order to continue to grow within the journey that God has set for me. Last semester was a whirlwind to say the least, but it's definitely one that I wouldn't change for anything(well, maybe a little lol), but overall I'm just really excited for y'all to hear some of the things that have been going on in my life as of recently and also the things that I'm looking forward to in this new season. I am so grateful for every single one of you and I love all of you so so much, happy listening🤎🎧
