Therapy: A Safe Place to Cry

In this week's episode, Ellie and Ben talk about owning your mental health journey by (among other things) getting a friggin' therapist. For a lot of people, it's difficult to admit that you need help, and even harder to ask a stranger for it. BUT it's also super important. Ellie talks about her journey from therapist to therapist and how it has changed her life, and Ben admits that he hasn't really even begun the process. Wherever you are in your journey, this episode will encourage and inspire you to at least give it a chance. Don't forget to subscribe! The Mental Health Field: How We Got Here

In this episode, we talk about our separate paths to this remarkable and difficult work. Ellie was banging her head against a wall at a nine-to-five desk job when she realized she wanted to have more impact on people's lives. Ben almost became a priest and then happened to stumble across the job on LinkedIn. Crazy stuff! We really enjoyed making this episode for you and hope you enjoy it! Snippet & Vibes - a teaser episode!

On this very first episode of I love you, Therapeutically, we introduce the show. What's it about? Why does it exist? Should it exist!? The big takeaway for listeners is that we're kind of goofy and weird, and definitely not experts. New to podcasting and the mental health field, this is a baby step - because, well, you gotta start somewhere. We hope you enjoy listening to our fumbling and rambling as much as we did fumbling and rambling! Make sure to Like and Subscribe for more episodes! We post every Wednesday at 11:00am. And, if you enjoy our weirdness, you'll find more of it on our socials... Tiktok: ily_therapeutically Insta: ily_therapeutically
