I also specifically talk about how society can pit women and underrepresented minorities against each other for the coveted seat at the table, and how I was able to grapple with these feelings by meeting new perspectives and getting creative again. hi!! it's been a while, but i am back with a fun unstructured episode where I used a random word generator to start a nonstop ramble of segues, something I've always been curious about considering how my mind tends to wander around even in structured episodes. This was very fun to record, and interesting to hear how my mind thinks naturally out loud. Ep. 4: Overthinking about Overthinking

I'm loving this try out a new intro every time- this free copyright piano was just so calming to listen to. I hope it made you feel a decent amount of serenity too. Today I talked about the definition of overthinking, the causes of overthinking, what behaviors indicate overthinking (some personal experiences ;...) ) and how to control overthinking (wait what?). I still have areas to grow with this topic myself, but acknowledging our tendency to overthink is pretty powerful in itself. Okay. Enjoy.

Ep. 3: Abortion is a Healthcare Issue

For a while, I've been trying to brainstorm and work on my other podcast episode ideas, but honestly, I couldn't think about anything besides what's been going on recently. So I decided to talk about it. Abortion is a huge part of healthcare and our well-being and research has proven this consistently. I shared what I've learned about the history of abortion, the present and future of abortion in the US, the public health research that has shown the detrimental impacts of banning abortion. I also share my opinions about pro-life arguments and talk about hope in terms of lowering maternal mortality rates. I tried my best to coherently put all my thoughts into this podcast, but as always, I'm open to any comments/suggestions/questions and will absolutely be continuing to do research on my own time just like I know you will as well. Did I really just look up copyright free intro music and horribly place it into my audacity file at the beginning? Yes, and it gave me life. I'm thinking of changing it every episode until I actually get around to making one myself, but I'm the master procrastinator- speaking of which, how can we increase our mindfulness? This episode I talk all about why I started journaling, the actual studies and what goes on our brain when we journal and some tips on how to start.
