    What if you were stuck in the same day over and over again, what would you do? That's what we're exploring in today's episode as we discuss the 1993 philosophical comedy, Groundhog Day. It's a silly movie, with a simple "stuck in time loop" plot, and yet it is incredibly thoughtful and poignant. Plus, Katie has some interesting news about a boy band featured in one of our previously covered movies, the girls discuss being stuck in ruts, and also why are vampires so rich? Seriously, how are these characters in high school, what actual age are they, does anyone really know? Over the years, this film has earned cult classic status, though most of it hasn't aged well.     Merry Christmas -- it's a holiday miracle! Your hosts Kate and Katie are here to proclaim that yes, "Die Hard" is a Christmas movie. And Kate has a notepad full of evidence ready to prove it.     E48 - "A magical place called Wisconsin!" (Love, Actually, 2003)

    Hosts Kate and Katie are joined by actress and long-time friend of the pod Angela Aiello to discuss the quintessential holiday romcom, 2003's "Love, Actually." Walk through every character pairing of this British ensemble classic with the three of them as they break down which storylines still make us swoon, which ones get worse with age, and which ones are so ridiculously fantastical that you just have to suspend your disbelief ("like when watching 'Lord of the Rings.'"). Warning: No Alan Rickman slander will be found here, but there's a good chunk of time talking about the film's sweater game and how Colin Frissel might plan his state-side trip using Bumble in 2023.     It's time for another holiday film discush! Hosts Katie and Kate dive into Beyonce's "Renaissance" documentary before taking you back to 2006 when house swapping was a thing, long tank tops were a fashion must-have, and John Krasinski and Kathryn Hahn were unknown enough to play side characters in a single scene. That's right, we're talking about "The Holiday," directed by Queen of the Cinematic Kitchen Nancy Myers and staring Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz. Stick around to hear Kate recite facts about Eli Wallach's career, Katie defend Jack Black as an ideal romcom leading man, and decide whether "The Holiday" is really a "holiday" film.
