    Alchemy RV Renovations with Tessa Terry - Replay

    Tessa Terry is another guest that I've been obsessed with following - when I was moving, I almost considered buying her parents' house in SC so we could have tea together in the mornings, but I wouldn't be able to keep my job, so.... But if you watch her Instagram reels, you will see why I'm just in awe of what she does. The fact that she keeps outdated RVs and trailers from being junked is heroic in my eyes! The way she makes an RV look luxurious and spacious is pure magic. I talked to Tessa initially in 2024, but we've talked many times since. She and her family toured the US in 2025, doing RV design consults and a couple of small renovations and some hotel rooms - an exception being a HUMONGOUS 45' RV just completed in March 2026 called The Editorial Retreat. Jaw drop stunning! Tessa has been featured in too many publications to keep track of, but she's been featured in Apartment Therapy and House Beautiful and many others. Here are the 2024 show notes: I approached Tessa Terry on Facebook when I saw her post about her RV renovation business Alchemy RV Renovations because I was so intrigued - then I followed her on Instagram - oh my gosh, if you're on Instagram, you need to follow her! These RVs are 100% renovated and made brand new on the inside, and she shines them up on the outside, too! They go from basic , and possibly used and run down, to roomy and luxurious when Tessa is done with them! Tessa has been in this business for about 2 years - TWO YEARS. She is booked up this year already! She has had several requests to renovate RVs in Australia! She just has a real gift for small space design that is unmatched. Wait til you hear her tell her story - if you're listening only, I bet you can imagine my face in your head when she talks about her HS graduation... Tessa is married, is a mom of 2, and grew up in a family that bought 'fixer-upper'  houses, and her parents have had a lampshade business for about 30 years, so she totally gets the value of working with your hands. A quote from her website: "When I was little, I used to say “If men could go to the moon, this stuff on earth is cake” - Nothing is impossible, sometimes it just needs a new floor plan." She has designed her own life, and she's giving RVs and other rigs a new life, which is so cool.     Feeding People with Amy Dolan - Replay

    I'm taking a week-ish away from podcasting, but wanted to share an episode or 2 that I love. One of my fave experiences was "meeting" Amy Dolan. We talked back in 2024, and her message has cemented a lot of my thoughts about feeding people as truth, and also the way she walks in the world is just so inspiring to me. I love that we are still connected, and that, even though her podcast is on hold, she still holds the grace and love she shares here.  I used this from Amy Dolan's website: "Amy Dolan is the host of The Feeding People Podcast, Founder of Sunday Supper Church, Strategic Consultant for the Chicagoland Good Food in Healthcare Initiative, and a Board Member for Pathways to Global Literacy.     Shades of Green with Funeral Director Timothy Schramm Ep 212

    I was an easy sell, being offered a conversation with a Funeral Director. I'm unsure if it's morbid that I am so interested in the death process, or if it's part of the healing grief  journey, but Timothy Schramm was exactly who I needed to talk to. Tim has been with Howe-Peterson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services for 38 years, and that funeral home has existed since 1873; there's a LONG history being part of the dying process. The family basically passed the funeral home onto Tim, knowing that it was in the best possible hands. He has a degree in Mortuary Science, and has been on the Green Burial Council for about 20 years, as well as being the Spokesperson for the national Association of Funeral Directors.  I talked to Melissa Meadows in March 2025 about green burial, and that was eye opening to learn about green burial options. I also learned about NOR (natural organic reduction) in a workshop with Holly Berry. One of the things I think is great about this conversation with Tim is the option of shades of green burial offered... Like, if you want to be buried whole, but don't want to soil contaminating formaldehyde, there's an alcohol based embalming fluid available. Tim talks about other shades in the episode if you're curious about what other options there are... A quote from Tim: "Show me a. society who does not care for their dead, I will see a society that will no longer exist." After this conversation, I'm having serious thoughts about a potential side gig/career shift.... Super grateful for Tim's generosity, sharing his knowledge with us. I mentioned this at the end of the conversation, but I don't think it's morbid to think about the end - like making plans for after, not necessarily HOW life ends. To me, I think it would be a gift to not have to manage so many details while grieving.     Elevating Climate Action One City at a Time with Kim Lundgren Ep 211

    I was really excited to talk with Kim Lundgren, Founder and CEO of Kim Lundgren Associates, or KLA, when I was pitched that she worked with cities and regions to help them put together a sustainability plan. Kim is a dynamic entrepreneur with a deep rooted passion for helping others see patterns and small shifts that can create big changes - her story is exciting!  When Kim said they go by KLA, my 80s younger self took no time recalling the song The KLF - 3am Eternal, and Kim humored me in remeniscing for a moment (in case you don't know it or want to go back in time, I'm linking it here: https://youtu.be/qw-LgDdkxyM?si=RewiBvjctPafK5mz - I know it's from 1991...) I'm so impressed with all that KLA has accomplished as a smaller business, but because they're a small group, they're able to be flexible to hustle and spread out nationwide to help others. One great suggestion she gives us is to not try to do ALL the things; pick 1 big move, then work toward that. Sounds easy, right? It's a big goal, but the action is small...     Delighting in Suburban Permaculture with Linda Ugelow Ep 210

    I first learned about Linda Ugelow when she was a guest on my friend Ande Lyons's podcast Don't Be Caged By Your Age in 2025 and she was just so graceful about everything. Then she was invited to be the guest speaker at the New England Podcasters' Meetup. Then I got to meet her in person at NEPG, where she said, "you know... I used to have an organic CSA and currently am growing lots of uncommon fruits..." Say no more, Linda - you had me at fruit!  Linda and her husband practice permaculture on their suburban property outside of Boston, with tons of different fruits and other perennial plants! She hosts a podcast called Delight in the Limelight - about speaking with confidence (175+ episodes now!), and wrote a book by the same name. She also works in intuitive dance and movement. I'm so glad for this time getting to know Linda better, and hear about her fascinating life! And I seriously cannot wait for the chance to have a tour of her haven she's been nurturing - her reverence toward the earth is really inspiring, and makes me want to do better - I hope you feel the same way, Her message she hopes you take from this conversation is this: "the satisfaction and fun of growing, eating and preserving common and uncommon perennial foods from your yard."     Landfill Diversion with Trash and Stash CEO Cameron Ungar Ep 209

    Nothing makes me happier than a conversation that goes deep unexpectedly... and Cameron Ungar delivered! Trash and Stash is a cleanout and downsizing service based in North Carolina. They are the first B-Corp Certified Junk Removal business in the US, and Cameron takes that certification very seriously. He talks about being thrifty - not like cheap, but about putting value on the effort made. He talks about simplifying our lives and homes being an act of rebellion (love that word!), and says that small, consistent actions have big results. Cameron offers an efficiency bonus for his employees, because just filling a dumpster is not preferred; he prefers repurposing or reusing, to keep things in circulation. In fact, his whole office is thrifted - he said he spent maybe $1000 for everything in the office. He also trains his employees in patience and encourages them to listen to their clients, knowing that some people will struggle with letting go of things. And his company gives back. Started during Covid, this still young company is giving a percentage of all profits to the International Cancer Foundation. They also have a space where they store some of the stuff they've taken from homes/offices to resale or donate to people who need it. A phrase Cameron said has stuck with me is " Junk is a verb, not a noun." Just think on that for a moment. I love the heart behind Trash and Stash so much - a desperately needed service, and offered with a kindness that is often lacking in that field.     Creativity Comeback for Mid Life Women with Asia Sharif-Clark BONUS Ep

    Asia Sharif Clark messaged me that she's starting a new program just for mid-life women to bring back their creative spark, and I just couldn't wait to share all we got up to, talking about it, so this is a bonus! Asia was a guest over 3 years ago, talking about her burnout, and how she turned to planting herbs to give her that needed distraction. It seems that time frame may have been a bit of mid life chaos as well, and she just needed to find her peace... Paint Together is her new community  on Mighty Networks that is just opening up next week, July 27th - you can spend as long or as little time as you want - if you're super busy, try to carve out 15 minutes to 1/2 hour to get your creative juices flowing and make friends! Community is so healing, and helps us not feel so alone as we maneuver our way through - "community is a renewable resource," she says. Paint Together will be focused on painting, but feel free to pull up some other creative venture you're working on. Asia will offer some playful prompts - she wants to make this easy and accessible, so we can get our creativity ON!     Using Humor to Cope with Author and Snarkitecht Kelly Weger Ep 208

    I approached Kelly Weger through a newsletter we both subscribe to - her bio was too intriguing to resist - and I wasn't disappointed at all! I want you to look carefully at her profile- I complimented her on her hair highlight color, and she said she just braids in YARN - genius! Natural fibers and low maintenance! Kelly was a LEED Certified Architect in her previous career, and now is the Head of Sustainability for a solar company. She also has written a book called How to Kill the Planet in 8 Easy Steps: A Humorous Guide by a Satirical Snarkitecht. The world feels very serious and heavy, and she chooses to use humor as a coping mechanism. She does public speaking, and talks about small behavior changes that add up to a big impact, and the future of climate change. Like this: She also said that we can push back against AI by opting out of AI searches. She said that a straight Google search uses 10 times less electricity than the AI Google search. A "bright side" that Kelly mentioned is that many companies have posted their sustainability goals with an end goal of 2030, which means they should be crunching on those goals to make progress...  I did bend her ear for a bit, asking about recycling solar, and digital clutter - sorry, and you're welcome?
