    Ariel Powers-Schaub Loves Horror

    Ariel Powers-Schaub, writer of "Millennial Nasties," joins the I Love Horror Podcast for a conversation about horror writing, movie obsessions, and the wonderfully specific opinions that come from spending way too much time thinking about scary movies. We dig into "Millennial Nasties," Ariel's approach to writing about horror, the films that shaped her taste, and why this genre continues to have such a death grip on both of us. And eventually, we get to the question every guest has to answer: why do you love horror? Things inevitably go off the rails from there. Ariel and I quickly discover that we are both unapologetic found footage snobs, which means some movies are praised, others are judged, and no shaky camera is safe. We get into the weirdly delightful whimsy of Art the Clown, what we are hoping to see from "Terrifier 4," and why "Horror in the High Desert" works as a slow burn even though, several movies in, we have theories, questions, and absolutely no idea who the hell we are supposed to be afraid of.     Murr Loves Horror

    Jay Wasley Loves Horror

    In this episode, I'm thrilled to welcome Jay Wasley from "Ghost Adventures"! We dive into his journey into sound engineering, what it's like investigating some of the world's most haunted locations on one of television's biggest paranormal shows, and how he launched his production company, Simple Equations Media. We also talk about his coffee company, Séance Coffee, his band "The Colours of Mind," and the excitement surrounding his upcoming appearance at the Salt Lake Paracon Convention in Utah alongside fellow "Ghost Adventures" investigator Aaron Goodwin from July 24th–26th. As always, we couldn't end the conversation without talking horror, and Jay shares why "Candyman," "Fire in the Sky," and "The Exorcist" remain three of his all-time favorite films.
