“Music is a moral law. It gives a soul to the Universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness, gaiety and life to everything. It is the essence of order, and leads to all that is good and just and beautiful.” ― Plato The formation of the mind and the creation of music are truly espoused to one another. To try and separate the two would be foolish. While much of the content on this podcast will not be directly related to my music, let us not forget the deep connection between growth in wisdom and knowledge with the experience of beautiful lyrics and melodies. Together, the music and the knowledge as well as you and me, will make each other more beautiful than you can ever imagine!

    Dr J is a literal legend. He walked up fro Farmer to King library to do this podcast with me and has been supporting everything I do along my journey at Miami University. I am super thankful for Dr J and super excited for this podcast. Dr. Justin McGlothinbrings to the classroom over fifteen years of leadership experience in higher education and five years as a small business owner. He is passionate about his opportunity to teach Miami students about business communications and the lessons he has learned during his career. We are better together, and effective teamwork experience is critical to individual success in today's marketplace. He is happily married to his wife, Alicia, and they have two beautiful daughters, Addison and Emma.

    Dr. Kerri Cissna Example

    As the Visiting Assistant Professor (VAP) in Entrepreneurship and Creativity at the Department of Entrepreneurship and the John W. Altman Institute for Entrepreneurship in Miami University's Farmer School of Business, Dr. Kerri Cissna teaches ESP 103: Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurial Thinking in the First Year Integrated Core. Kerri went to MacArthur High School in Decatur, IL and Warner Pacific University in Portland, OR and then earned a Master of Education In College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA. She earned her Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership and her Ph.D. in Global Leadership and Change from Pepperdine University. Her research interests include #WorkplaceSpirituality #InclusiveLeadership #Creativity #Entrepreneurship #LeadingInnovation #DEI #GlobalLeadership and #Philanthropy. She has published articles in several refereed journals, including the Journal of Leadership Education and the Journal of Global Leadership. She has four published books on the topic of #WomeninLeadership and #WorkLifeIntegration. At Wake Forest University, Kerri was a Teacher-Scholar Postdoctoral Fellow in the Program for Leadership and Character and the Center for Entrepreneurship. While serving as a postdoctoral fellow at Wake Forest, Kerri designed and taught undergraduate courses in Entrepreneurial Leadership and the Character of Entrepreneurship. Kerri also taught courses with emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship in Human Resource Management through the Business School at California State University, Long Beach. Kerri designed and taught courses in Collaborative Leadership and Conflict Negotiation for a new Master of Leadership program at Southern Nazarene University. Kerri previously taught courses in business communication, social entrepreneurship and leadership at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. Her career in higher education spans two decades and includes five years as Assistant Vice Chancellor in the Graduate School of Education and Psychology, four years as Director of Housing & Residence Life, and three years as Leadership Development Coordinator at Pepperdine University.
