    Falling back to fall forward. Why are we at times so afraid of success? I had to ask myself this question, however the answer for me I never expected to be as deep as it was, nor did I expect how the calls I was trying to block would give me my answer.

    Ya friends are sick of you going back!

    Damn can’t y’all just support me…I promise I’m going to see my worth in a minute. Being on both sides of the “toxic relationship” game is both exhausting and annoying. Your friends are sick of hearing about such and such, and for sis, you know you’re tired of embarrassing yourself to them, about such and such.

    Avoiding Peace & Pursuing Trauma

    There’s this song by the rapper and artist Wale entitled “Sabtoge”. It came out years ago and i used to bop it so loudly, screaming the lyrics “Pessimism is all that she knows, ‘ cause every brother always picks up and go..” not realizing how truly relatable these lyrics, hell the entire song will be the highlight of some of my adult romantic interactions in my 30s. First off, Wale has always been ahead of his time and this song was very much chef’s kiss, but why? Why do we in our big age get the blessings we so persistently pray for just to…sabotage them. Is it our familiarity in trauma and toxic ass previous relationships, that when “it falls right in (our) laps, (we) be ready to get up” like the song belts? On this week's episode I explore my past, and present experiences and how they affect the receiver, essentially, the bruised.
