    Episode 5: Walkers in the Television Industry

    Hello Visionaries!! I know, I know. I have been gone for a while. But hey, that’s show biz…..right? Well, normally yes, but I cannot use that excuse. I am fully aware that it seems like every episode I come back promising something, but let me tell y’all. This time, I am not going to promise anything. This is a new show and there are some learning hurdles. The good news is that I AM LOVING it. I know, I am weird. I am also a Capricorn, so read into that however you would like. As television consumers, or even film consumers, have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes? Have you ever wondered who wrote that amazing soundtrack for that amazing film or television show that you loved? Have you ever wondered why they wait until the end of a television show or movie to tell you who deserves *MOST* of the credit? Have you ever stayed to watch the end credits? I am not trying to read you for not waiting until the end (unless it’s a marvel film). But, it warrants a negotiation within yourself. If you do care about the behind-the-scenes workers, then giving them the respect of learning their names in the end credits is something small that could go a long way. Unfortunately, just like society, the behind-the-scenes workers in the television industry and film industries go unnoticed and unappreciated. Therefore, it is not surprising that there are behind-the-scenes workers who are negotiating within the power structure in place and taking things into their own hands.  Article: McNutt, M. (2017).     Change is inevitable. Why do most people have a fear of it, then? I do not have the answers, but I do have the answers to why we should embrace change.
