The Conversations on African Philanthropy podcast features leaders and game-changers whose work has enabled social investment and philanthropy in Africa. Hosted by the Centre on African Philanthropy and Social Investment (CAPSI), the podcast supports the mission of promoting social change by fostering a culture of effective giving and corporate social and civic responsibility. Founded in 2017 and situated within Wits Business School, CAPSI aspires to nurture a new generation of African experts, researchers and leaders in African Philanthropy, Social Investment and related disciplines. The Centre serves as a source of knowledge and learning, a platform for partnerships, and a hub for community engagement for participating organisations and institutions across and for the benefit of Africa.     Send us Fan Mail This series of conversations with women in African philanthropy was recorded on the sidelines of the African Women Writers retreat that took place at the Wits Rural Facility in Limpopo, South Africa, and hosted by CAPSI’s Adɔyɛ Programme. Adɔyɛ is dedicated to celebrating and amplifying the contributions of African women in philanthropy while creating spaces for dialogue, learning and collaboration. Lilian Ikal Angelei is an environmental advocate, community leader, and social justice champion whose work is rooted in lived experience, learning, and collective action. Jude Clark is a clinical psychologist, facilitator and mental health practitioner known for his work in healing, emotional wellbeing and community transformation. Nyamal Tutdead is a Conflict Resolution Professor and Healing Practitioner whose work focuses on peacebuilding, reconciliation and collective healing across communities.
