    Ashton Higgins, Brian Rundstrom Jr & Landon Milam

    Episode 204 is on the scene! Championship season is upon us and we have three of them this week on the show. Ashton Higgins won 14 races on route to the Late Model Stock Track Championship at Kingsport Speedway in Tennessee. He talks to us about his season, why he chose to run at Kingsport this season, reaction to cousin Cope's development which also included a championship and more.  Brian Rundstrom Jr won five races in the Budweiser Limited Sportsman Division at South Boston Speedway and won the championship by winning the finale on Sunday. He discusses the intense championship battle with Tristan Brunelli, the incident that led him to winning the title on Sunday and how special it was to keep it in his family among other topics. Landon Milam won five races and notched 11 top five finishes en route to a Dollar General Hornets Division championship at South Boston Speedway joining his brother and his father who also have won championships. Landon tells us about his championship season, what's to come in the offseason, if you will ever see him doing backflips like his Uncle does and so much more. We have an announcement to make! The CARS Tour had an extra day to prepare for their Pro and Late Model doubleheader at Tri-County thanks to rain. The delay was well worth the wait as Conner Jones, TJ DeCaire and Brody Monahan entertained the Sunday crowd with three wide racing, bumping, banging and jockeying for position. Monahan picked up his second win while the crews of DeCaire and Jones had their disagreements of how it was handled. It wasn't all lost for Conner Jones as he picked up the Late Model Stock win later that afternoon. We reviewed all the action from Tri-County for you this week on DLN! The SMART Modified Tour had an expected weekend off with the race at Caraway being canceled. The playoff field is set with a possible wild card spot this weekend at Orange County and we get you ready for the annual Rumble In Rougemont which takes place on Saturday. In round two of the Chase for the Cup, Kyle Larson put an end to his 51 race winless streak with a win at World Wide Technology Raceway in Illinois on Sunday. We discuss all of the action from a wild day at Gateway.     Labor Day Weekend Racing Review From Sweltering South Carolina

    Episode 203 is on the scene and we recap a Sweltering Labor Day Weekend in South Carolina. Hear from the top three finishers in Friday's CARS Tour Late Model race as they discuss their nights at Florence. We also review all the action from Florence in both the Pro Late and Late Model Stock Division for the zMAX CARS Tour plus we preview the action from Tri County as the tour gets right back to action in Western North Carolina. The SMART Modified Tour took their annual beach trip at Carteret County Speedway in Swansboro North Carolina. For Carson Loftin, it felt like a day at the beach as he dominated the event and set a record by doing so with the largest margin of victory in the modern era of SMART dating back to 2020. We discussed the event and set the scene for the regular season finale at Caraway Speedway this weekend to set the playoff field. We talk about Christopher Bell's first win of the season in the Cookout Southern 500 at Darlington and hear from the winner in his post race news conference from the media center. You will hear from Kyle Larson who discusses the strategy call from Cliff Daniels that had him stay out on the last caution without taking fresh tires as most of the field did. Ryan Blaney talks about his top five run and we discuss Josh Berry's new ride with Legacy Motor Club, his record he shares with David Pearson as he shares his comments post race.     NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Winner Teddy Hodgdon

    Episode 202 is on the scene and we welcome the latest winner on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Teddy Hodgdon to the show. Teddy talks to us about growing up at Stafford and how groundbreaking this win was for him and his family team. He talks about a few of the near misses he had during the weekend, wanting to be a pilot and the connection he shares with Ryan Preece. It's a great conversation with the New Englander and we know you will enjoy it. Speaking of Ryan Preece, it was Preece who pulled off the walk off victory at Daytona on Saturday and punched his ticket into the Chase. We discuss how ironic it was that his win should come at a place that has literally left him black and blue over the years and just how good of a feel good story this was along with our breakdown of the race. The Cup Series Chase starts and we give our chances for each of the sixteen drivers to advance deep in the Chase come November and our picks to hoist the trophy. We were live on the scene at Pulaski County Motorsports Park on Saturday. After nearly 20 years, Wes Thomason finally got a win at the speedway on Saturday in the Super Street division. He talks to us about that and his journey to get there. We also hear from the second and third place finishers Daniel Eakin and Taylor Ransom from the division. We also hear from Jeff Linkous, Kyle Dudley and Kevin Canter who ran at three tracks this past weekend including two on the same day two hours apart.     CARS Tour winner Carson Loftin & STAR Tour Champion Glenn Mappus

    Episode 201 is on the scene and we are still marveling over the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model race from Anderson. Carson Loftin overcame a restart violation and took advantage of a late race issue from Chase Burgeson to grab his first career tour win Saturday. Carson tells us all about his weekend, if he feels if he has redeemed himself after not having things work out at Nelson Motorsports and why he was mistaken as a Cook Out employee at a gas station. We discuss the Landon Huffman/Tyler Reif confrontation, Brody Monahan's first win in Pro Late Models, the different players up front and more as we do our breakdown of the entire night at Anderson. 2026 STAR Super Stock Tour Champion Glenn Mappus also stops by to discuss his championship winning season on the tour, the unique trophies he received for doing so, what he will do with the title belt and reiterating the commitment it takes for Saturday Night Short Track Racers by talking about the nearly 15 hour round trip to Lonesome Pine the weekend before last.  Ryan Blaney picked up his third win of the season at New Hampshire on Sunday on a day that saw wet weather tires make an appearance early in the event.     Episode 200 is on the scene and Dillon Harville stops by. He broke Dustin Rumley's win streak at Ace Speedway on Friday night and he tells us how he became the bounty collector. He also discusses what he's been up to the last four months after not being in the car, his new venture with Woodard Motorsports and his love for riding roller coasters. We review the Richmond weekend featuring Kaden Honeycutt's dominating Truck Series win, Joey Logano winning for the second time in four Cup Series events and how he has come from being outside the top 20 in points to ninth in a span of a few months.     Throwback Classic Winner Matthew Gould

    Episode 199 is on the scene with the winner of the zMAX CARS Tour Throwback Classic from Hickory Motor Speedway Matthew Gould of NIECE Motorsports. He tells us how much this win meant to him, the close calls he experienced, the growth NIECE Motorsports has experienced, growing up in a racing home, a love for culinary arts and much more. The Throwback Classic is in the books and we give our takes on the race. From the massive carnage in the Pro Late Model Race to the late start because of the rain to the battles up front in the Late Model event, this race had a little bit of everything and we discussed it all including TJ Decaire winning the Pro Late Model event. The Dark Knight Rose again at Pulaski County Motorsports Park in Virginia Friday night. Jake Crum picked up his second win of the season in SMART Modified Tour Competition. Hear from the top three finishers in the event in addition to Burt Myers as he led early but the pit strategy didn't play into his favor. Jake wasn't the only person in the household that picked up a win as his wife Annabeth Barnes went wire to wire in the Carolina Crate Modified Race that same night. There's nothing corny about Ty Gibbs and Carson Kvapil who picked up their second career wins in their respective divisions at Iowa Speedway over the weekend.     Tristan Brunelli

    Episode 198 is on the scene with Tristan Brunelli. Brunelli is a four time winner this season in the Budweiser Limited Sportsman Division at South Boston Speedway including bagging home a win in one of the twin races on Saturday. Brunelli talks about his early beginnings in the sport, overcoming kidney issues as a young child, aspirations for the rest of the season and how Kyle Busch influenced him as he continues to make his way into the sport. We reviewed all of the action from South Boston Speedway since Julian was on the scene for it on Saturday. It was a night filled with action. From Landon Pembelton's sweep of the Late Models to controversy at the front of the field, a time shortened Hornets feature and dodging raindrops. We broke it all down for you. We also discussed Michael Bumgarner's win at Hickory in the Jack Ingram Memorial race that also saw its fair share of controversy. It's Throwback weekend for the zMAX CARS Tour with this weekend's Throwback Classic at Hickory Motor Speedway. We give you a preview of one of the tour's Crown Jewel events. The SMART Modified Tour returns to action with a stop at Pulaski County Motorsports Park on Friday night with the Radford Race. It's the first trip there since 2023 and we will give you our insight.     Taking Flight With Cole Bruce & A Hampton Heat Review

    Episode 197 is on the scene and we are taking flight with Cole Bruce who won the pole and finished third in Saturday's Hampton Heat from Langley Speedway. Cole tells us the story about how he wasn't originally going to be in this car this weekend as the previous driver Wesley Slimp was unable to race due to injury. He also discusses the near misses during the race and how they were able to have the speed to win the pole and compete with some of the toughest names around. We also caught him at the perfect time as he just passed his Commercial Muti-Engine Checkride earlier during the day we recorded the show making him eligible to fly planes! We break down the race itself and discuss all the trouble Chase Burrow got into with a reminder that racers are human and that we still love him. We also discuss Ayden Millette's strong run and the incident that ended his day, trouble for the contenders and more including who is set up to run for the Virginia Triple Crown at Martinsville in September.  It was Heim Time on Sunday at the Brickyard. We discuss Corey Heim's second Cup Series win driving a part time team and debate on the last time this actually happened in the Cup Series.
