Part of career conversations podcast series, this episode shares an experience on whether education guarantee success or is education mandatory to succeed. In this episode I discussed about the most common question from both children and parents and very intriguing i.e. is education mandatory to success or does education guarantee success. Part of career conversations podcast series, this episode shares an experience how familiarity breeds contempt i.e. That which is near is not valued. In this episode I discussed about my own experience with my child when i play a role of career mentor, explaining the scenario typically how most children take their parents for granted which is kind of "That which is near is not valid". Emphasis on engaging with a professional career mentor or counselor to fulfill the career guidance requirement irrespective of how knowledgeable the parent is, so that it enables both the child and parent to make an informed career decision.

Career Conversations Episode #24 - Destiny! Fate!

This episode is all about my career counselling and mentoring experiences with students and parents. An interesting experience about a parent's situation where she was regretting her preferences imposed on her child which eventually proved as inappropriate career choice. Each of these episodes are aimed to drive a message home for the listeners so that there is a value add hopefully it complements the thought process. In this episode I discussed about a parent who is working in government sector and expecting her children also to choose government sector and one the top tier options as to pursue civil services as a career choice. But later she realized that it was not a well thought through choice made since the child is stuck without a direction. The parent started attributing this situation to Destiny or Fate. But later realizing that proper career planning ahead of time would yield good results. Emphasis on a structured way of nature to work mapping and career planning ahead of times. So that there is no mismatch or at least an informed career decision has been made so there is no friction or regret on a later date.

This episode is all about my career counselling and mentoring experiences with students and parents. An interesting experience about a students situation where she was warranted by her parents to choose between studies or home. Each of these episodes are aimed to drive a message home for the listeners so that there is a value add hopefully it complements the thought process. In this episode I discussed about an orthodox parents who are warranting their child to choose between studies or home. Certain belief systems still do exist where parents believe that girl child education as a taboo. Emphasis on awakening such parents and help the child to balance or find middle path without losing sight on the importance of parents, family and support system.

This episode is all about my career counselling and mentoring experiences with students and parents. An interesting experience about a students sliced between his parents expectations and his own aspirations. Each of these episodes are aimed to drive a message home for the listeners so that there is a value add hopefully it complements the thought process. In this episode I discussed about a parent whose expectations from the child is to become a "Maulvi" vs the child's aspiration of pursuing a career in banking and finance sector. Emphasis on how to make a win-win or middle path by weighing the options more practically rather going by the belief system.
