    I wanted to break down June a bit this month as it feels like a time to be intentional before energy ramps up in July. Many of us are feeling it… that something big is coming. We are on the precipice of so much shifting, it’s hard to know what that will look like on the world stage but most of us agree that July feels big. So June is a lot about nervous system tending, nourishment, rest, recalibration. I broke down some dates to pay attention to and talked about how to work with the energy as well as reflecting on Chiron in Aries, paradigm shifts and self forgiveness + how Chiron in Taurus will support the birthing of a new world. I also spoke about launching by astrology and how 6/9 is a really juicy date incoming. 6/1 Mercury moves into Cancer 6/9 Venus and Jupiter meet in Cancer 6/12 Uranus squares the True Node 6/13 Venus moves into Leo 6/14 New Moon in Gemini 6/19 Chiron moves into Taurus 6/21 Sun moves into Cancer + Summer Solstice 6/29 Mercury Rx w/ Capricorn Full Moon 6/30 Jupiter moves into Leo (note: what’s your timelord up to this month?)     Navigating 'Challenging' Transits

    In this episode I share some musings from inside my own experience — currently in the darkest year of my Progressed Balsamic Moon phase with transiting Saturn dancing on my natal Moon. At one point in the podcast I think I said “I’m not scared” three times in a row about my upcoming 12th House year. I sounded a wee scared. Because look, this Balsamic Moon phase has been no joke for me. And my 12th house month last year left me screaming in a field. Maybe there is a little fear. That’s a very real part of being human. And we don’t need to bypass it. It’s why we prepare. And we check ourselves and our orientation. Sometimes we see things coming and we actively need to work not to brace or have negative expectations (which can become their own self fulfilling prophecies when we focus on it). Instead we resource ourselves, soften, and approach it with curiosity. I tend to think knowing what’s coming and being able to position yourself to be in the most ease and flow with it is the best possible scenario. I look back at the times (like my last 12th House year) when I did not yet know this technique and I wish I did. That version of me, that timeline, could have benefitted from knowing it was not all in my head. I was brand new to Portland and completely on my own. I worried I had made a huge mistake but what was really going on was energy and if I had leaned in rather than fighting it or feeling like there was something wrong with me — it would have been a much easier and fruitful time. Eventually it all worked out (as it do) but I could have saved myself some suffering. The reality is these are the cycles of our lives. And transits by outer planets are the pivots we often need, the chiseling away of all that is not meant for our becoming. Our 12th house years and balsamic phases are the seasons we need to release, regroup, recalibrate. They are the pull back of the arrow from a new clearer more aligned place. We need summer and we need winter. They all serve a purpose. And they often become the very things that quantum leap us forward. Knowing your weather is being in cosmic coherence. Some tips for navigating the transits: * get curious about the opportunity, ask magical questions and reframe it as an invitation. * recognize impermanence always. This too will pass. What can you appreciate about this moment? * practice radical self acceptance. * focus on what you can do + release control around what you cannot. * ask what the energies want — dialogue — what are they here to teach you? * orient yourself to the higher octaves and be mindful of the pitfalls. For example in a Uranus transit you might need to take a beat before acting impulsively. * remember that challenging times often birth the most beautiful changes in our lives, the quantum leaps, the evolution of self our Soul came to have. * move yourself out of fear. Often times we worry or fear things or catastrophize (hello nervous system dysregulation) future projecting. This is cognitive distortion. Remember moments when you did that and wasted time and energy for nothing. Turn yourself instead to possibility. Expect good things.     Asteroid X Goddess: Ceres - The OG

    A couple of weeks ago I spoke about maybe my favorite thread to pull in the “asteroid” realm and I say asteroid air quotes because she is actually now classified as a dwarf planet. That’s right — just like Pluto. She is asteroid number one. The very first to be discovered. Mythologically she is actually the same rank as Pluto, Jupiter and Neptune — her bros. And she was astronomically thought to have birthed the other major asteroids… like Juno, Pallas and Vesta exploded out of her. She’s kind of a big deal. She’s a thread I personally love to pull because she represents not just our nurture style, our love language, but how we ourselves are best nurtured and loved. Less # social media fluff self care — more what you deeply need. And when it comes to nervous system regulation — meeting her needs helps create felt safety and resourcedness in the bodymind much like our Moon. Which supports more time in ventral vagal and rest digest manifest. And, she speaks to so much more than that. I also think of all the years I’ve been studying Human Design and astrology… there was never a more perfect time than now — on the threshold of a new paradigm — to really integrate these ladies into our lives and our charts. For greater wholism. For ever our charts have been dominated by dudes with only the Moon and Venus holding down the feminine fort. And this is not about simplistic gender but about yin and yang — both of which are necessary parts of each of our wholeness. So to think about bringing them more to the forefront in my own work right now as we intentionally live into a new world. A more feminine, receptive, process oriented, slow living kind of world. It feels quite fitting. They help us tap into more allowance. More receptivity. And more parts of ourselves. So I reached out to my friend Jen of Spirited Treasure to see if she would be interested in doing a little series and we couldn’t be more excited. Each month we will pull threads around another goddess asteroid starting with the majors and then diving into some personal favorites and/or ones that are prominent in our own charts. Jen will bring the mythology and energetics from the goddesses and I will look at what they represent in our astrology and Human Design.     Fire Element Season + Cultivating Shen

    We are moving into Summer in the Northern Hemisphere which is Fire Element season (Heart, Small Intestine, Triple Warmer, Pericardium meridians), in a time when astrologically we are in a lot of Fire energy in the year of the Fire Horse. So I wanted to talk about the Fire Element in TCM, focusing this week on loving up on the heart and cultivating Shen. We are kicking off the Gemini Season Nervous System journey this Monday in THIS IS THE SPACE and the Fire element is very tied to the nervous system through electricity and the ways in which trapped unprocessed emotions wreak havoc — keeping us in a state of dysregulation, illness, pain and ‘stuckness’. Perfect to be speaking about today with the Moon in Aries ;). The Fire Element in TCM is also very tied to identity and all of the massive Aries astrology we’ve been moving through has been about the dismantling and architecture of identity. We are shedding (hopefully) victim narratives and homogenized ideas of success while reclaiming sovereignty. As we peel back layers of conditioning, more of our truth shines through and as we move through this portal — many will be claiming new identities. We will have to… as many old definitions of selfhood will matter much less in our new world. In June Chiron will move into Taurus helping us to recalibrate self worth around this becoming. I shared practical tips (like too much raw cold food can actually be drying) and two favorite Fire element acupressure points within the podcast (illustrated below in Substack) along with lots of ways to love up on and nourish yourself this season. This is a perfect time in our collective astrology to practice reconnecting with joy while also supporting emotional hygiene and mental health. Last Sunday’s WKLY Nourish includes an excerpt from a Fire element fascia flow where I share more about the season as well as some simple practices with big rewards.     The Inversion of Beauty + the Hidden Civilization of Tartaria

    I am so excited to have Jen Hampton of Spirited Treasure back on the podcast to talk about the importance of beauty and how it has been quite literally stripped from us. This episode has been on my mind for awhile and Taurus season felt like the perfect moment. If Tartaria is new to you, this episode will invite you to open your mind to hidden history and possibility… to ask yourself the question — what if? We can always explain away some pieces to simple profit > people, but not all. What if even some part of what we talk about were true? While we cover a small piece of the history of Tartaria — this episode is primarily focused around the importance of beauty and how we can reclaim it. The inversion of beauty has been a big part of the program that took us from thriving to surviving. Our environments shape cognition, creativity, emotions, actions, our overall well-being, social relations, our sense of belonging... whether or not we are surrounded by beauty can either motivate us or make us apathetic. “Not only are consumers disposed to prefer familiar, conventional designs, they will prefer conventional designs even if those designs serve them poorly — which as we have seen, they often do. This is owing to a common psychological dynamic, namely that the more times a person is exposed to a stimulus, even if it does not serve her well, the more she will habituate to it such that she eventually will not only prefer it when offered other options, but will eventually deem it to be normative. In this way, people can and do come to judge inferior places that serve them poorly, or even harm them in covert ways, as indisputably, objectively good.” - Sarah Williams Goldhagen The truth is the spaces around us either nourish or deplete us. This is not just about our separation from nature, but poor quality construction, brutalist architecture, a departure from attention to the energy of spaces, from sacred geometry, from spaces that heal — it even feels like shopping at “sad” stores means “sad” food. Everything is energy. There was a time when it wasn’t just about beauty but frequency and we both believe we are returning to those times. It is a very exciting time to be alive and as the new name of the podcast states — it’s not just about waiting for it to happen — but living into it now. I hope you enjoy this episode.     When speaking to friends about this and whether I should share about it on the podcast, I was reminded that I am a storyteller and that oftentimes I am sharing from my life. And this is a thing that happened this week that got me thinking. Not because I’m taking it personally but because it speaks to some greater patterns that I think are important.
