Not sure what that VinnyVidi guy is talking about; this is far and away the best Jets podcast I’ve come across, and I’ve listened to them all.
• The hosts are engaged and intelligent fans — not only is their football analysis on par with (or often exceeding) the top analytics, but their fandom of the team brings a sincerity that is missing from other podcasts.
• The podcast is extremely creative in how they engage the audience. Every week is an adventure — there are contests, superlatives, "Golden” vs “Wooden” debates, interviews, top guns, limericks, and, of course, the infamous “Geek of the Week” ritual. Other Jets podcasts are often tired and repetitive, but this one knows how to keep things lively.
• You get the sense of the jovial and tight-knit community that inspired the podcast. References to discord users and inside jokes don’t impact the accessibility of the content — quite the opposite. References to the discord community keep the show grounded and serve as a reminder that we are all simply fellow fans of this team that we love. And the podcast also serves as a wonderful gateway to welcome new fans to the discord community.
• There are no commercial breaks, and there is no confining structure: the show is as short or as long as the material dictates. You never have to worry about hosts rambling on to intentionally burn time, nor do you ever have to worry about a show being cut short when there is much more to discuss.
Again, as someone who spends too much of my waking life consuming every single available Jets podcast, this is the only one I would deem “Can’t Miss”.
