Diagnosed with MS at 25 and now living fully against all odds. Meet holistic therapist Kezia Kecibas

What does it mean to truly live your life to the fullest — not despite everything that has tried to stop you, but because of everything you have had to overcome to get here?  In this profoundly moving and genuinely joyful episode of The True You Podcast, host Paula Burns sits down with Kezia Kecibas — holistic therapist, author, adventurer, business owner, and one of the most quietly extraordinary women to ever grace this show — for a conversation about resilience, reinvention, and what it truly looks like to refuse to let life pass you by.  Kezia grew up in Cambridge and went on to study Contemporary Theatre at De Montfort University, graduating with a BA (Hons). She was always an active sportswoman — until the age of 25, when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. A diagnosis that could have defined the rest of her life as one of limitation. Instead, it became the beginning of one of the most remarkable stories of courage and reinvention you will hear this year.  Despite her diagnosis, Kezia went on to complete an NVQ in Holistic Therapies and build her own holistic therapies business — including a purpose-built salon — from the ground up. She became a mother to two children. And in 2019, determined to arrest the chronic progression of her MS, she travelled to Moscow to undergo pioneering Stem Cell Treatment — a decision that took enormous courage and changed the trajectory of her life.  On returning to the UK, Kezia did something else extraordinary. She wrote a book. Rose Tinted — M.y S.tory. Her honest, personal account of living with MS and choosing joy anyway.  And today? Today Kezia is living life to the absolute fullest. She has jumped from a plane. She has parasailed — inadvertently. She swims in the ocean. She goes on adventures. Regularly.  In this episode, we explore: — What it felt like to be diagnosed with MS at just 25 years old and the moment Kezia decided she would not let it define or diminish her life  — How Kezia built a thriving holistic therapies business and purpose-built salon while living with a chronic illness and what that journey taught her about strength, adaptability, and self-belief — The decision to travel to Moscow for Stem Cell Treatment in 2019, what led her there, what the experience was like, and the impact it has had on her life and her MS progression   —  What holistic therapies have given Kezia personally and why she is so passionate about their role in the wellbeing of women living with chronic illness or navigating major life challenges   — What Kezia most wants women living with MS, chronic illness, or any form of life-limiting challenge to know and the message at the heart of everything she does  This episode is for every woman who has ever been handed a diagnosis, a setback, or a circumstance that felt like the end of something and wondered whether joy, adventure, and a full life were still available to her. Kezia Kecibas is living proof that they absolutely are.  Connect with Kezia: www.kelebekholistics.co.uk www.rosetinted.me  Facebook  https://www.facebook.com/kelebekholistictherapies https://www.facebook.com/rosetintedtales Amazon (book purchase) https://amzn.eu/d/j6PTx9w Instagram  https://www.instagram.com/kelebekholistics?igsh=MTAzbG95eXY1YjMzaw== Youtube https://youtube.com/@keziakecibas3581?si=8KxKrhhQkQohojPn   #TrueYouPodcast #KeziaKecibas #MultipleSclerosis #MSWarrior #StemCellTreatment #LivingWithMS #ChronicIllness #HolisticTherapies #RoseTinted #WomenResilience #WomenEmpowerment #RefusingToSettle #AdventureWomen #Skydiving #LivingFully #ChronicIllnessWarrior #MSCommunity #WomenInWellness #YouAreStronger  💖You can now watch selected episodes of The True You podcasts on Youtube! Invited to Richard Branson's Private Island & Healing Through Breathwork: Anna Parker-Naples on Burnout, Breath & Transformation

What if the most powerful healing tool available to you has been with you your entire life — and you have never once been taught how to use it?  In this extraordinary episode of The True You Podcast, host Paula Burns sits down with Anna Parker-Naples — international award-winning Coach, Breathwork Expert, Master NLP Practitioner, Speaker, Author, Fellow of the ACCPH, and one of 30 leading female entrepreneurs invited to mastermind on Sir Richard Branson's private island — for a conversation about burnout, breathwork, healing, and what it truly means to change your life one breath at a time.  Anna's credentials are remarkable. She is the founder of Influential Breathwork and the creator of the BreathHealing Release™ Method — a powerful transformation modality that is changing the lives of people around the world. She is the author of Get Visible and Podcast with Impact. She is the host of Healing After the Hard Stuff — a Top 1% global podcast. And in 2024 she was made a Fellow of the ACCPH in recognition of her significant contribution to personal development and mental health through her breathwork certification work.  But behind all of that achievement is a woman who burned out.  After a period of serious burnout and ill health, Anna discovered breathwork — and it changed everything. Not as a trend, not as a wellness accessory, but as a profound, evidence-backed, transformational modality that reaches places talking therapies alone simply cannot. Today she is one of the leading voices in breathwork globally, and her mission is simple: to share this life-changing practice with as many people as possible.  In this episode, we explore:  — What breathwork actually is, beyond the buzzword, and why Anna believes it is one of the most powerful and underused healing tools available to women today   — Anna's own experience of burnout and ill health, what it felt like, what it cost her, and how breathwork became the turning point in her recovery  — How breathwork can help professional women navigate anxiety, burnout, overwhelm, and the relentless pressure to perform — and why it works when other approaches have not  — The connection between breathwork, NLP, and lasting mindset change, and why Anna's multi-modality approach creates transformation that sticks  Whether you are in the middle of burnout, recovering from one, quietly struggling with anxiety and overwhelm, or simply ready to explore a healing practice that goes far deeper than anything you have tried before, this episode will quite literally take your breath away.  Connect with Anna:  www.annaparkernaples.com, www.influentialbreathwork.com, www.linkedin.com/in/annaparkernaples  www.facebook.com/AnnaParkerNaples, www.tiktok.com/@annaparkernaples www.instagram.com/annaparkernaples www.instagram.com/influentialbreathwork   #TrueYouPodcast #AnnaParkerNaples #Breathwork #BreathHealing #BreathworkForBurnout #HealingAfterTheHardStuff #BurnoutRecovery #NLPCoach #InfluentialBreathwork #GetVisible #PodcastWithImpact #WomenEmpowerment #FellowACCPH #RichardBranson #WomenLeaders #HealingJourney #BreathworkHealing #MindBodyHealing #AnxietyRelief #TransformationalCoach  💖You can now watch selected episodes of The True You podcasts on Youtube! From Guatemala Street Children to Young Carers in Bradford: How Carol Barwick Built Raise to Spread Confidence & Joy

What if one word — just one word — could unlock your confidence, ignite your creativity, and ripple joy out into the world around you?  In this gloriously uplifting episode of The True You Podcast, host Paula Burns sits down with Carol Barwick — former primary school teacher, founder of Raise, host of The Raise Podcast, and one of the most joyfully purposeful women to grace this show — for a conversation about confidence, creativity, individuality, and what it truly means to pour your colour into the world.  Carol's story is extraordinary. Over more than 20 years in education, she has taught and learned from communities most people never encounter. She has built friendships with street children on the challenging streets of Guatemala — young people with enormous potential living in some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable. She has championed young people with special needs and abilities in the vibrant, colourful communities of Bethnal Green. And she has walked alongside some of the most courageous young carers in Bradford — children carrying responsibilities no child should ever have to carry alone.  Through every single one of those experiences, Carol discovered the same truth: when you help a person believe that their creativity and individuality matter, something remarkable happens. They begin to share that joy with others. And that joy ripples outward in ways that cannot be predicted or contained.  That belief became Raise.  Raise is a community, a movement, and a weekly practice built around a single, deceptively simple idea — The Raise Word. Each week, one word is explored together: in the Raise Facebook community and on The Raise Podcast. The community examines the positives and the negatives of the word, what it means to each individual, and how understanding it can help not just themselves but everyone around them.  It is confidence-building disguised as conversation. And it works.  In this episode, we explore:  — Carol's extraordinary journey from primary school teacher to founder of Raise — and the experiences in Guatemala, Bethnal Green, and Bradford that shaped her mission  — What The Raise Word is, how it works, and why exploring a single word each week creates such a powerful ripple effect in people's lives  — Why creativity and individuality are not luxuries — they are essential to confidence, wellbeing, and living a life that truly feels like yours  — How to build confidence not through grand gestures but through small, consistent, joyful acts of self-expression  — The power of community in building confidence — and why doing the inner work alongside others creates change that going it alone simply cannot  This episode is for every woman who has ever dimmed her creativity because she was told it did not matter — and for every woman ready to turn it back on.  Connect with Carol Barwick:  Raise FB community Group Podcast - Raise #TrueYouPodcast #CarolBarwick #Raise #RaisePodcast #ConfidenceBuilding #Creativity #JoyAndConfidence #WomenEmpowerment #PrimarySchoolTeacher #Guatemala #YoungCarers #SpecialNeeds #CommunityBuilding #RaiseWord #IndividualityMatters #PourYourColour #LifeOfCreativity  💖You can now watch selected episodes of The True You podcasts on Youtube! Who are you beyond your job title? Identity, Mindset & Authentic Leadership with Positive Psychology Coach Zena Hall

Take away the job title. The roles. The responsibilities. The labels. What is left? In this deeply thought-provoking episode of The True You Podcast, host Paula Burns sits down with Zena Hall — Positive Psychology and Mindset Coach, facilitator and trainer with the Association for Coaching  — for a conversation that will make professional women in leadership stop and truly ask themselves: who am I, really? Zena's work is built on a profound and often overlooked truth. Professional women in leadership are so much more than the titles they hold, the roles they perform, and the expectations they carry. Mother. Daughter. Sister. Colleague. Boss. Senior Leader. CEO. Founder. Coach. Business owner. Wife. Beneath every single one of those identities is a woman — a whole, complex, remarkable human being — who so often gets completely lost in the performance of everyone else's version of who she should be. Zena is passionate about helping her clients find that woman again. Through Positive Psychology, mindset coaching, and identity work, she helps professional women and organisational leaders understand who they truly are, uncover the limiting beliefs that have been quietly running their lives for years, and lead — in work and in life — in a way that is authentically theirs. Drawing from 27 years of experience in HR and IT within Higher Education, and her work as a facilitator and trainer with the Association for Coaching, Zena brings both deep professional credibility and genuine human warmth to every conversation. In this episode, we explore:  — Why professional women in leadership so often lose themselves beneath their job titles and roles — and why this is one of the most common and least discussed crises in women's leadership today  — What Positive Psychology is and how Zena applies it to help women reconnect with their authentic identity and build genuine, lasting confidence  — How to identify the limiting beliefs and mindset patterns that have been running your life — often for decades — without you even realising it  — What authentic leadership actually looks like for women — and why leading from who you truly are, rather than who you think you should be, changes everything   — The difference between understanding your identity and actually living it — and the practical steps Zena uses to help women bridge that gap  This episode is for the professional woman who has been so busy performing her roles that she has quietly forgotten who she is when no one is watching. Divorcing After 17 Years: How to Make Clear Decisions, Protect Your Future & Rebuild with Confidence with Nicole Bright

If you are going through a divorce — or know someone who is — this episode could change everything. In this powerful and deeply practical episode of The True You Podcast, host Paula Burns sits down with Nicole Bright — Strategic Decision Advisor During Divorce, transformational speaker, contributing author, and creator of the C³ Strategy™ — for one of the most important conversations this podcast has ever had about navigating one of life's most high-pressure, high-stakes experiences. Nicole knows this territory intimately. After the end of her own 17-year marriage, she experienced firsthand what it means to face life-altering decisions while under enormous emotional pressure — and how catastrophically costly it can be to make those decisions from a place of fear, confusion, or pure survival instinct. That experience became the foundation of everything she now teaches. Today, Nicole helps high-achieving women navigate active divorce with clarity, composure, and control — the three pillars of her signature C³ Strategy™. Her approach is built on one critical insight: the decisions you make during divorce will shape your life for years, possibly decades, to come. And making them well requires separating emotion from strategy — not because your feelings don't matter, but because your future does. In this episode, we explore: — What the C³ Strategy™ actually is — and how clarity, composure, and control become your most powerful tools during the most chaotic period of your life — Why high-achieving women are particularly vulnerable to making poor decisions during divorce — and the specific pressures that make this such a dangerous time to be operating on autopilot — How to separate emotion from critical decision-making during divorce without suppressing your feelings or losing yourself in the process — How Nicole rebuilt her identity, her confidence, and her sense of self after 17 years of marriage ended — and what she most wants women in this situation to know — What it means to trust yourself again after divorce has shaken your foundation — and how to start making decisions from a place of strength rather than fear This is not a conversation about blame, bitterness, or simply surviving divorce. It is about navigating it with strategy, self-respect, and a clear vision for the future you are building on the other side. ⚠ If you or someone you know is navigating divorce and needs additional support, please reach out to a qualified legal or financial professional in addition to any emotional support resources. Building a Values-Led Property Business with Vinita Yadav of VKY Lettings

What does it look like to build a thriving, award-winning business in one of the most competitive industries in the UK — while refusing to compromise on your values? In this inspiring and practically rich episode of The True You Podcast, host Paula Burns sits down with Vinita Yadav — property entrepreneur, qualified mortgage advisor, founder of VKY Lettings in Cardiff, and the Young Estate Agent of the Year for Wales 2025 — for a conversation about property, purpose, and what it truly means to build a business that is unapologetically you. Vinita's approach to property is unlike anything you will find in a traditional estate agency. As a qualified mortgage advisor with a 360-degree view of the Welsh housing market — spanning finance, portfolio growth, lettings, and property management — her expertise is comprehensive. But what sets her apart is not just what she knows. It is how she works. Driven by a deep commitment to transparency and authenticity, Vinita has consciously and deliberately walked away from the transactional, corporate tactics that define so much of her industry — choosing instead a human-centred approach that puts people, not profit, at the heart of every decision. The result? A multi-award-winning business, a fiercely loyal client base, and a career that proves you do not have to sacrifice who you are to succeed. In this episode, we explore: — How Vinita built VKY Lettings from the ground up in Cardiff and what the Welsh housing market looks like for investors, landlords, and first-time buyers right now — What it means to be a values-led entrepreneur in property — and how rejecting corporate, transactional tactics actually became her greatest competitive advantage — Mortgage advice demystified — what women need to know about finance, property investment, and growing a portfolio in today's market — How to build a business that is authentically yours in an industry that often rewards conformity over character — The mindset behind building a thriving property business as a young woman of colour in Wales — and why representation in property matters Whether you are curious about property investment, thinking of buying, renting, or growing a portfolio in Wales, or simply inspired by a woman who built an award-winning business entirely on her own terms — this conversation will leave you informed, energised, and ready to back yourself.  Connect with Vinita:  Linkedin  Vinita Yadav | LinkedIn Instagram https://www.instagram.com/vinitadoesproperty?igsh=MXdrdW55dzF2NWZsbg== Website vkylettings.co.uk   #TrueYouPodcast #VinitaYadav #VKYLettings #PropertyEntrepreneur #WomenInProperty #EstateAgent #MortgageAdvisor #CardiffProperty #WelshHousingMarket #PropertyInvestment #ValuesLedBusiness #YoungEntrepreneur #WomenInBusiness #AwardWinning #WomenOfColour #PropertyPodcast #UnapologeticallyYou  💖You can now watch selected episodes of The True You podcasts on Youtube! From Charles Saatchi to Community Murals: How Award-Winning Artist Rose Hill is Using Art to Build Belonging

What if art could do more than hang on a wall — what if it could bring an entire community back to life? In this joyful and quietly extraordinary episode of The True You Podcast, host Paula Burns sits down with Rose Hill — international artist, founder of the multi-award-winning Co-Creative Connection, and one of the most fascinating women to grace this podcast — for a conversation about art, belonging, purpose, and what it means to build something truly meaningful with your life's work. Rose's career reads like a who's who of the art world. Commissions from Charles Saatchi, Sadie Frost, and Robert Webb. Collaborations with Harrods, the British Museum, and ZSL London Zoo. Teaching at the V&A and the British Library. By any measure, she has reached the very top of her field. And yet the work she describes with the most passion is painting murals with communities. Through Co-Creative Connection — her socially engaged public art practice — Rose brings schools, housing developments, train stations, and public spaces to life through large-scale, joyful murals that are designed by the community, for the community. Every artwork begins not with Rose's vision, but with the people who will live alongside it — ensuring that each mural becomes a genuine expression of collective identity, pride, and belonging. In this episode, we explore: — What socially engaged public art is and why it matters more than ever in a world where communities are increasingly disconnected — How Rose built a career that bridges the elite art world and the local community — and why she believes the two are far less separate than people think — The story behind Co-Creative Connection — how it began, how it works, and what a co-created community mural project actually looks like  — How her collaborations with Harrods, the British Museum, ZSL London Zoo and private collectors like Charles Saatchi shaped her understanding of art's power to transform spaces and people — What it means to lead large-scale public art projects across schools, housing estates, and stations — and the profound impact these spaces have on the people who inhabit them — Rose's journey as a woman building a purposeful, award-winning creative career entirely on her own terms — and what that has taught her about following your vision even when the path is unconventional This episode is for the woman who has ever wondered whether her work can be both commercially successful and genuinely meaningful. Rose Hill is living proof that it absolutely can. First Love Yourself: Overcoming Self-Doubt, Discovering Your Core Value & Becoming the Go-To Expert with Lynette Joseph

What if the most important business strategy you could invest in — was learning to truly value yourself first? In this deeply inspiring episode of The True You Podcast, host Paula Burns sits down with Lynette A. Joseph — Self-Mastery Mentor, educator, entrepreneur, and founder of F.L.Y. (First Love Yourself with Lynette) — for a conversation that sits right at the intersection of personal transformation and purposeful business building. Lynette's message is both beautifully simple and profoundly powerful: before you can show up confidently in your business, attract high-value collaborations, and position yourself as the go-to expert in your industry — you have to do the inner work first. You have to learn to love yourself, know your worth, and uncover the Unique Core Value that only you bring to the world. This is not abstract advice. Lynette has lived it. Having navigated her own journey through self-doubt, low self-worth, and personal challenges, she rebuilt her relationship with herself from the inside out — and now she dedicates her work to helping other entrepreneurs and purpose-driven women do exactly the same. Through F.L.Y., Lynette helps her clients uncover their Unique Core Value, step into their authentic power, and confidently position themselves as the go-to expert in their industry — attracting high-value collaboration partnerships that align with who they truly are and what they are truly here to do. In this episode, we explore: — How Lynette overcame self-doubt and low self-worth to build a business and movement rooted in authentic value — and what she wants every woman struggling with the same thing to know — What your Unique Core Value is, how to uncover it, and why knowing it changes everything about how you show up, communicate, and attract opportunities — How to confidently position yourself as the go-to expert in your industry when you still have moments of doubting whether you are enough — The F.L.Y. philosophy — First Love Yourself — and why self-love is not a soft concept but a bold, strategic foundation for a life and business built on purpose — What it truly means to create a life and business aligned with who you are — and why that alignment is the difference between struggling and thriving Whether you are an entrepreneur feeling undervalued and unseen, a purpose-driven woman who knows she has more to give, or someone who simply needs reminding that loving yourself first is not selfish — it is essential — this episode is for you.
