Found, Not Finished with Channa

Channa Evalyn

life between the lines Found, Not Finished is a quiet, honest podcast about the middle of life — the part we don’t perform, polish, or post. Hosted by Channa, this space is for conversations about motherhood, marriage, identity, faith, communication, and the slow work of becoming. It’s about learning how to live inside real life — unresolved moments, hard conversations, small joys, and the seasons where growth doesn’t look dramatic, just faithful. These episodes aren’t about having it all figured out. They’re about noticing what matters, repairing what’s been strained, and choosing presence over perfection. About being found — but not finished. If you’re navigating change, holding multiple roles, questioning old narratives, or simply trying to live with more intention in the middle of it all, you’re in the right place. Pull up a chair. This is life between the lines.

Let Them Misunderstand You: Stop Overexplaining, Start Living

Get early access + extras Sometimes we overexplain because we want to be understood. Other times? We’re just afraid to let people think what they want. In this episode of Off Brand, On Point, I’m sharing what it’s like to break free from that cycle. I’m getting honest about my own struggles with overexplaining — in business, in marriage, and in family — and how learning to let them has been one of the hardest and most freeing lessons I’ve walked through. We’ll talk about: Why overexplaining can actually make people trust you lessHow to stop chasing every misunderstandingReal-life stories where I wanted to defend myself but chose to let it goThe moment I realized not everyone needs the full storyThe freedom that comes with trusting your own heart without forcing anyone else to get itThis is your sign to stop writing footnotes for your life.  Say it once. The Power of Saying No

Get early access + extras We're talking about the kind of "no" that feels scary, awkward, or even a little selfish — but is actually the most confident thing you can say as a creative, a business owner, and a human being with boundaries. From turning down my first ever wedding (even with $1,000 on the table) to learning how to spot red flag inquiries early on — this episode walks through why saying no before you burn out is not just allowed... it’s necessary. You’ll hear:  • How confidence is something you build, not something you’re born with • The difference between being available and being aligned • Real scripts for saying no without guilt • How the right clients find you when you stop saying yes to the wrong ones • The truth about knowing your worth — and making it worth it This one’s packed with real-life examples, hard-won lessons, and everything I wish someone had said to me when I first started. Say What You Mean: Navigating Hard Conversations in Life and Business

Get early access + extras In this episode, I’m opening up about something we all wrestle with—communication. Whether it’s in marriage, business, or a one-star review that still stings, I’m sharing what I’ve learned (and unlearned) about how to say what you mean without being misunderstood. You’ll hear the story behind my toughest client experience, why I overexplain everything (and how that sometimes backfires), and how I’ve learned to communicate better in real time—with clients, with my husband, and with myself. We’ll talk about: Why comfort in relationships can lead to careless wordsHow body language, silence, and people-pleasing can be misreadWhat I learned from a painful review—and how I rebuilt my confidenceThe shift from solo photographer to team leader, and how I communicate that changeHow ChatGPT unexpectedly helped me grow as a communicator (yes, really)And why attracting the right clients matters just as much as doing great workIf you’ve ever felt like you were trying your best and still got it wrong—this one’s for you. Let’s talk about the power (and pressure) of communication when everything’s on the line. Whether you’re a parent or not, motivated or still figuring it out, dreaming big, building something new, or rebooting what’s next — you’re welcome here. Grace in Real Life: When Emotions Speak Louder Than Words

Get early access + extras What does grace really look like when you're knee-deep in motherhood, managing a marriage, running a business, or just trying to get through a messy day without losing your cool? In this episode, I’m talking about the power of grace — grace for ourselves, for others, and in the moments we wish we could take back. From personal stories where I lashed out and still carry the guilt, to deeper realizations about how hurt often shows up as anger, this conversation is about honesty, healing, and giving yourself permission to not get it perfect. Whether you're parenting through overstimulation, navigating tricky relationships, or trying to grow a business without burning out — this one’s for you. Because grace isn't weakness. It’s the strongest, most healing thing we can give ourselves and the people we love. And stick around ‘til the end — I'm teasing what’s coming next week: a real talk about communication (the thing we’re all still figuring out). Whether you’re a parent or not, motivated or still figuring it out, dreaming big, building something new, or rebooting what’s next — you’re welcome here. Let’s navigate real life and business together, one unfiltered conversation at a time. Thanks for listening to Off Brand, On Point. Editing Life Mid-Sentence

Get early access + extras Ever catch yourself rewriting a conversation in your head hours later? Me too — and that space between who we are and who we’re trying to be? That’s exactly where this podcast lives. I was adopted from India at 11 months old, raised as the middle child in a divorced household, and have been overthinking everything since I learned how to talk. I’m a wife (married to a fellow Taurus — so yes, things get passionate AND stubborn), a mom of two loud, wild-hearted kids, and a business owner who built a photography company from scratch… only to realize that “success” didn’t mean I felt fulfilled. Burnout pushed me to pivot, and now I help other business owners tell their stories — but somewhere along the way, I realized I was editing more than just photos or marketing copy… I was editing myself. This podcast is me un-editing in real time. It’s not picture-perfect. But it’s honest. We’ll talk about the stuff we usually keep in — the mistakes, the mom guilt, the one-star reviews, the messy middles and the “oh no, did I overshare?” moments. Because what I’ve learned is that connection starts in the messy parts. And if one thing I say makes you feel seen or understood, then this podcast is already doing its job. Welcome to Off Brand, On Point. Let’s get comfortably uncomfortable. Whether you’re a parent or not, motivated or still figuring it out, dreaming big, building something new, or rebooting what’s next — you’re welcome here. Let’s navigate real life and business together, one unfiltered conversation at a time. Thanks for listening to Off Brand, On Point.
