    INTRO! Gospel Hobbies

    Hello everyone! Welcome to my second podcast, Gospel Hobbies! Gospel Hobbies is my space to share all my various thoughts on topics closely or loosely related to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This podcast is mostly for my spiritual expression and refinement. I want a place to be able to share anything and everything having to do with spirituality, specifically around my beliefs as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I heard someone use the term 'gospel hobbies' to caution disciples from "looking beyond the mark" and getting sucked down spiritual rabbit holes. These 'gospel hobbies' could turn into obsessions, as the counsel goes, and that obsession could take us away from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I chose the name Gospel Hobbies because I think it sounds fun. Also, I think it is a fact of life that we will have some gospel hobbies, and I don't think they're problematic as long as we keep Christ at the center. On this podcast, I'll share my thoughts on some of my gospel hobbies. I expect to share my thoughts on lots of spiritual topics like reviews of 'churchy' books, thoughts on controversial topics, and a little healthy speculation. If that makes you uncomfortable, no worries! We can still be friends. Also, I wager that you, dear listener, engage in many of the same conversations that I have on this podcast. I want to put this podcast out there as my small contribution to a rich dialogue around discipleship. Like my other podcast, Emotional-Support Water Bottle, this is mostly for me! So I'm going to have fun with it. All content is my own making and opinion. Everything will be faith promoting, though I may express some unique viewpoints, and I'm excited to get started!
