In this episode I give an introduction for myself and my intentions for the podcast.  My name is Susan Barnett and I am a first generation Mexican-American and first generation college graduate, two vital pieces to my identity. This episode shows you bits and pieces of myself that I will dive into deeper later on in the season. Each episode will focus on one part of my life and how that event(s) molded me to be the person I am today, with the outlook I have on life.  Stick around if you're first-gen, Latinx, a woman or a first-gen college student/graduate -- you may find you can relate to some of the things I say. There is not enough space for us online or in the real world, so I am making that space. Stick around for more! Episodes are published weekly on Sundays.
