From defying the odds at birth, he continued to defy the odds by becoming one of Sierra Leone's tennis players. He learned how to play hand ball first, then built his own tennis racket out of whatever material he could find, played tennis without shoes, crossed multiple borders at the age of 16 while searching for better training, risked his life, and more in the pursuit of his dreams. It can be a stressful experience that oftentimes strains the relationship between the parent and the child.
