Ever since the beginning when he started his joining at look all things that linked to the original 1968 version of Night Of The Living Dead, your host Bede Jermyn has covered quite a number of different projects that incorperated footage of the film into their narratives. While the results have been mixed, it's interesting to see how filmmakers edit NOTLD into their work. For this episode of the podcast, Bede takes a look at two vtonally different international short films that use footage of NOTLD in unique ways: Alex Lotz's 2016 German short horror/comedy Die Nacht Der Lebenden Idioten (a.k.a. Night Of The Living Idiots) and the 2023 Brazilian politically charged short horror film Noite De Terror No Planalto (a.k.a. Night Of Horror In Brazil) from Jonathan Rodrigues.     Bede Vs. The Living Dead Bonus Episode - Train To Busan (2016)

    Welcome to this bonus episode of Bede Vs. The Living Dead. Unlike the main episodes of the show that only focus on all things related and linked to Night Of The Living Dead, these bonus ones will have your host Bede Jermyn explore other random zombie films (from both the famous to the obscure) that were made in the aftermath of George A. Romero's 1968 classic masterpiece. While there have been many zombie films made since the sub-genre was revived in the early 2000s, it's safe to say that realistically that only a few of them have been considered by horror fans as modern classics. One film in particular that fits the bill, is one that came out of nowhere from South Korea in 2016 and instantly herald as one of best horror films of the 21st century: Train to Busan, which was the first live-action directorional debut from animation director Yeon Sang-ho. Knowing that the film is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, Bede thought it was the perfect time to tackle the film.
