    Beautiful Feet

(Romans 15-16)What makes someone's feet "beautiful"? Certainly not the feet themselves—but the message they carry. As we come to the final week of our Rooted & Sent: Romans Study, Paul reminds us that the Christian life was never meant to end with personal growth. Every lesson we've learned throughout Romans now points us toward one purpose: living on mission and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with the world. In this final episode, we discover that healthy disciples become disciple-makers, hope is meant to overflow, and every believer has a unique role in building God's Kingdom. Through Paul's closing words in Romans 15–16, we'll explore how God uses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things when they faithfully say "yes" to His calling. 📖 "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" — Romans 10:15 In this episode, we'll explore:✨ Why hope is meant to overflow into the lives of others✨ How every believer has a unique place in God's Kingdom✨ The beauty of serving alongside one another in the Body of Christ✨ Standing firm in truth while extending grace and mercy✨ Why discipleship always leads to mission✨ What it means to carry the Good News wherever God sends you This may be the final episode in our Romans study, but it's also a commissioning. Reflecting Christ

Rooted and Sent - Romans Study Wk 9 Last week we read 📖 Romans 13–14. So, in this episode that follows, we ask what does it look like to live as a follower of Jesus in a world full of division, strong opinions, and competing priorities? We discover that the Gospel doesn't just transform our hearts—it transforms the way we live, love, and relate to others every single day. Paul reminds us that our highest calling is to love God, love our neighbors, and live in a way that reflects Christ. He also challenges believers to extend grace in areas where sincere Christians may disagree, choosing unity and love over judgment. 📖 "Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law." — Romans 13:8 In this episode, we'll explore: ✨ What it means to put God's Kingdom first✨ Why love is the distinguishing mark of a follower of Jesus✨ How to extend grace in disputable matters without compromising biblical truth✨ Living with humility in a culture of division and outrage✨ Reflecting Christ through our attitudes, actions, and relationships Together we'll look at supporting Scriptures that remind us to love sincerely, pursue peace, and build one another up as we grow in Christ. 💛 In a world that encourages us to win arguments, Jesus calls us to win hearts. When we put Christ first, we choose love and extend truth with grace. Then, we become powerful witnesses to the transforming work of the Gospel. 🌿 Stay rooted in truth.🔥 Be transformed by the Gospel.🚀 Live sent with purpose. The Love that Changes Everything

The love that changes everything is the agape love of Jesus. This love, and the transformed mind, leads to living a Transformed Life In our Rooted and Sent Romans study, week 8, we go through Romans 12:3–21. What does a transformed life actually look like? After calling us to become living sacrifices and renew our minds, Paul now shows us what genuine transformation produces. It's not merely more Bible knowledge—it's a life marked by humility, sincere love, generous service, forgiveness, compassion, and grace. This week we'll discover that the Gospel doesn't just change what we believe—it changes how we treat people. In this episode, we'll explore: ✨ Why humility is the foundation of spiritual maturity✨ How God has uniquely gifted every believer to serve His Kingdom✨ What sincere, Christ-like love looks like in everyday life✨ How to respond to difficult people with grace instead of retaliation✨ Why overcoming evil with good is one of the greatest testimonies of a transformed heart Through Paul's practical teaching in Romans 12, the example of the Good Samaritan, and the words of Jesus Himself, we'll see that a renewed mind always produces a life that reflects the character of Christ. 📖 "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." — Romans 12:21 Y'all, the world doesn't just need to hear about Jesus—it needs to see Him in the way we live, love, forgive, and serve. May our lives become living testimonies of God's transforming grace. 🌿 Stay rooted in truth.🔥 Be transformed by the Gospel.🚀 Live sent with purpose. A Living Sacrifice

This is about becoming a Living Sacrifice... living a life of True Worship in a World of Counterfeits. The renewing of your mind leads to the transformation of your entire life. 📖 Romans 12:1–2 What is shaping the way you think? Every day, our minds are being formed by something. Social media. Culture. News. Entertainment. Influencers. Spiritual trends. The question isn't if you're being shaped—it's what is shaping you. In Week 7 of our Rooted & Sent: Romans Study, we dive into one of the most life-changing passages in all of Scripture: Romans 12:1–2. Paul calls believers to offer their lives as living sacrifices, refuse to conform to the patterns of this world, and experience true transformation through the renewing of their minds. In a culture filled with spiritual counterfeits, self-focused messages, and competing voices, how do we discern what is true? How do we worship God with more than just songs on Sunday? And what does it really mean to live a life that is fully surrendered to Christ? In this episode, we'll explore:✨ What it means to become a living sacrifice✨ Why true worship is a lifestyle—not just a Sunday morning activity✨ How to renew your mind through God's Word and the Holy Spirit✨ The difference between transformation and conformity✨ Why discernment is essential in a world full of spiritual counterfeits✨ How Jesus modeled the ultimate life of surrender and worship Together we'll also look at the example of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who refused to bow to the idols of Babylon, and discover how their courage challenges us to remain faithful in a culture that constantly pressures us to conform. 📖 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will." — Romans 12:2 Friend, God isn't just calling you to think differently—He's calling you to live differently. The transformation your heart longs for isn't found in another self-help strategy, another spiritual trend, or another cultural promise. It's found in one Person—Jesus Christ. 🌿 Stay rooted in truth.🔥 Be transformed by the Gospel.🚀 Live sent with purpose. www.powerhousemommamedia.com

The War Within: Living in the Spirit

This week we're in Romans 7–8. Why does the Christian life sometimes feel like such a battle? Why do we still struggle with sin, negative thought patterns, fear, anxiety, or old habits—even after giving our lives to Jesus? In Week 5 of our Rooted & Sent: Romans Study, we dive into Romans 7–8 and explore one of the most relatable realities of the Christian walk: the internal war between the flesh and the Spirit. Paul honestly describes the tension so many believers feel—the desire to follow God while still wrestling with the pull of the old nature. But Romans 8 gives us incredible hope and reminds us that the struggle is not the end of the story. 📖 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus…” — Romans 8:1 In this episode, we talk about:✨ Why the struggle with sin is real—even for believers✨ The difference between conviction and condemnation✨ How what we set our minds on shapes our lives✨ What it means to truly live by the Holy Spirit✨ Our identity as adopted children of God✨ The victory and freedom available through Christ With biblical teaching, powerful storytelling, supporting scriptures from Ezekiel 36:26–27, John 3:17, Galatians 4:6–7, Philippians 4:8, and Isaiah 41:10, plus commentary from trusted Bible scholars, this episode will encourage you to stop fighting in your own strength and start walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. 💛 Y'all, the struggle may be real—but the Spirit is stronger. From Death to Life

From Death to Life 📖 Romans 6 What does true freedom really look like? In Week 4 of our Rooted & Sent: Romans Study, we dive into Romans 6 and explore one of the most powerful truths of the Gospel: through Jesus, we are no longer slaves to sin—we have been made alive in Christ. So many believers know they’ve been forgiven, yet still struggle to walk in freedom. Shame, fear, old mindsets, past wounds, and destructive patterns can keep us living like prisoners even after Christ has opened the prison door. But Romans 6 reminds us of this life-changing truth: 📖 “Count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 6:11 In this episode, we talk about:✨ What it means to be dead to sin and alive in Christ✨ Why grace is not permission to stay the same, but power to be transformed✨ How old identities and strongholds keep us stuck✨ The difference between cultural freedom and biblical freedom✨ How surrender to God leads to true life and lasting freedom Through biblical teaching, powerful storytelling, and commentary from trusted Bible scholars, this episode will challenge you to stop living bound by what Jesus has already broken off your life. 💛 You are not your past. You are not your shame. You are not your struggle. In Christ, you have been made new. 🌿 Stay rooted in truth🔥 Be transformed by the Gospel🚀 Live sent with purpose Find everything for our studies and the PowerHouse Momma community at powerhousemommamedia.com.

    Trading Truth for Counterfeits

We're in Romans 1:18–3:20 What happens when we exchange God's truth for something else? In Week 2 of our Rooted & Sent: Romans Study, we explore one of the most challenging—and relevant—passages in the book of Romans. Paul reveals what happens when people suppress truth, pursue idols, and look to created things for identity, purpose, and fulfillment instead of the Creator. In a culture that encourages us to "follow our hearts," define our own truth, and seek validation from the world around us, Romans reminds us that anything we place above God will ultimately leave us empty. Whether it's success, approval, comfort, relationships, achievement, or self-reliance, every counterfeit promise eventually falls short. In this episode, we'll discuss:✨ The danger of exchanging truth for counterfeits✨ Modern idols that compete for our hearts✨ Why culture's definition of truth often conflicts with God's Word✨ The reality that every person needs God's grace✨ How recognizing our need for Jesus prepares us for true transformation Through biblical teaching, practical application, storytelling, and insights from trusted Bible scholars, we'll discover why Romans first confronts us with our need before revealing the incredible beauty of God's grace. 📖 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." — Romans 3:23 💛 The good news of the Gospel begins when we stop trusting counterfeits and start trusting Christ.
