In Acts 5–7, we see the apostles boldly obey God despite opposition, and we witness the unwavering faith of Stephen, who stood for truth even when it cost him everything. Paired with the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3, this episode reminds us that God doesn’t always keep us from the fire—but He is always with us in it.
