    Ep. 20 - How To Land That Next Role via LinkedIn w/ Brianna Doe and Julie Raeder

    This week's conversation dives into a topic that's often painful—job hunting. How to think differently about landing that next role (and get better results with less aggravation) is a topic Brianna Doe and Julie Raeder know a bit about. Brianna is a marketing pro and entrepreneur who founded The Career Lab and Soul Food Studio. Through The Career Lab, Brianna is supporting early- to mid-career professionals to build the career they want through a job board, resources, and coaching. Julie is a Customer Success Coach with Dooly, one of the strongest brands on LinkedIn, and she joined the company after using a relatively unique approach to LinkedIn to help transition from education to tech.  In this episode, we unpack their respective approaches to the job search and how they've leveraged content on LinkedIn to build their brands, land roles, and support others in doing the same.  This week, we also have a Hustle Corner segment featuring Dennis Geelen and The Author's Playbook. Dennis is a consultant, solopreneur, and author of four books. Most recently, Dennis published The Accidental Solopreneur, which I higher recommend.  It came out right around the time I released In The Creative Arena, and Dennis and I had the pleasure of doing an event together talking about our books.     This week, Tony sits down with two true leaders on the LinkedIn platform. Jahmaal Marshall is the founder of Listen Then Speak, which is the name of both his coaching business and his podcast. Pete Durand is the CEO of Cruxible Partners and the host of the Eating Crow podcast. During this conversation, the gentlemen get into what motivated them to start creating content, how they remain consistent, and how to engage in a healthy way.

    This week, Tony hangs out with a couple phenomenal humans he connected with through the little-known “Nonprofit Corner” of LinkedIn. Tania is a marketing consultant and former Executive Director who hosts the Campfire Circle podcast. After a career in nonprofits, she’s helping leaders in the social impact sector get heard. After working on Wall Street, Mitch Stein was the CEO of Pond, a startup that sought to become the Airbnb for nonprofit orgs and vendors. He talks about the difficult decision to shut the company down last month and what’s coming next. We get into how leaders can better leverage LinkedIn, why some industries are reluctant adopters, and how to handle trolls.

    Ep. 17 - The Wildest Content on LinkedIn w/ Paul Watkins and Tyler Schmoker

    Tony has never climbed a mountain more intense than hiking up a very large large hill, but he's had a fascination with extreme outdoor endeavors for the last decade and has aspirations of taking  on meatier challenges in wild places. That's probably why he's such a sucker for wild content on LinkedIn, and Paul Watkins  and Tyler Schmoker are two men who post some of the wildest. A former pharmacist from Australia and an American security industry pro, respectively, they share a brand of personal development built on undertaking serious challenges in intense locations. From climbing some of the world's largest mountains to taking part in 100-mile-plus winter ultramarathons, these men push themselves to their limits and then share the lessons they've learned on LinkedIn.  In this conversation, the gents get into some of their adventures, their approach to content creation, and the natural tension between a lifestyle that emphasizes disconnecting from day-to-day tech usage and posting consistently on social media.  You can find Paul's book, Lost and Found, on Amazon and the audio version on Audible. I highly recommend the audiobook.  Tony's book, In The Creative Arena, is also available, but features exponentially fewer stories involving a man taking a shot of whiskey with a preserved human toe in the glass.

    This week, Tony hangs out with fellow lawyer Tiffany Jones and surgeon-turned-entrepreneur Bryan Sagray All three of these people have left their chosen professions in the last couple years to go a different direction, and naturally their paths have intersected on LinkedIn.
