    boundaries

    what has been one of your biggest lessons as parents? DM me! here is the steps to take if you also get to work on this, by my cousin who is a therapist.. "Here’s some active things to do on setting boundaries.  - List situations where you felt uncomfortable. Specifically- what made you feel that way? - Reflect on the situations and write how you’d ideally like to handle them in the future - I would also role-play w them if you can   - Think of a recent situation where you struggled to assert a boundary . Take turns being yourself/the other person. Keeping clear/assertive language in mind. - And then as a pt of reflection, keeping a journal/list where you reflect on instances where you did or did not assert boundaries. Describe what happened, how you felt, and what you learned from the experience. - As with many things, setting small, achievable goals for how you will assert boundaries in similar situations in the future. An easy way to ease into boundaries is the practice of saying no for small things and building on that. " -robelsiec inforobelsie@gmail.com
