    Life long action learning - Father & Son from ‎Kharkiv, Ukraine and Rosemount, USA

Other languages are added every week. Somewhere in Minnesota, USA. A father and son go to a park, and the father asks his son. "Boy, look, friends are playing.” The boy looks at the friends, observes what game they are playing, and blends in. Contrasting this scene, in Ukraine another father and his son hide in an underground bomb shelter, hoping the building won't collapse on them from the bombing. This father and son are planning how they can move from the war zone to a safe and livable new country. While one father is trying to teach his son how to communicate in the real world, the other is teaching his son how to survive on the battlefield. This is today's story from the World School of an educator from Minnesota, the United States, and Kharkiv, Ukraine. In the middle of these two worlds, the E2D World School community is learning to engage in how to bring lifelong action learning experiences across the globe. E2D World School communities from Bangladesh, Germany, and the United States have come together to create local action learning opportunities for those trying to escape from difficult parts of the world and relocate to the new world. An ILO study found that 170 million people are looking for employment opportunities. Because of the lack of opportunities, many different types of forced migration are happening today: some for war, some for climate change, and some for basic needs for equitable employment opportunities. Our Feature Story reports that the boy and dad from Minnesota, USA, have teamed up with E2D World School to host an online seminar with their German community on how to migrate to Germany on October 15th Saturday, Chicago time, at 11 am. In addition, the World School Community of Action Learners is offering an art workshop for displaced young children to learn and share their experiences.
