E42 What Is Really Driving You? | UNDERSTAND Your Daily Plumbline Day 3 M3 |

You can be doing the right thing and still be driven by the wrong motive. Welcome to E42, Day 3 - UNDERSTAND of Your Daily Plumbline, Module 3: Biblical Worldview & Spirit-Formed Discernment, from Ruach School of Ministry. Today's focus is What Is Really Driving You? - Motives Under the Light. We often examine whether our decisions are right, whether our actions are justified, or whether others are walking in truth. But spiritual maturity requires us to ask a deeper question: What is happening in my heart that is influencing what I see, believe, and choose? Fear can disguise itself as wisdom. Ambition can wear the clothing of calling. Pain can influence what we call discernment. Pride can convince us that our certainty is always truth. The problem is not always what we are seeing. Sometimes it is the condition of the heart through which we are seeing it. Today's Scripture: Proverbs 16:2 (NKJV) "All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the spirits." God examines what lies beneath our outward actions. This is why Spirit-formed discernment must begin with a heart willing to be searched, corrected, and surrendered to Jesus. TODAY'S PLUMBLINE CHALLENGE Take time to examine your motives before the Lord. Ask yourself: What is really driving my decisions right now—love, obedience, fear, approval, ambition, or self-protection? Have I mistaken a personal desire or emotional reaction for spiritual discernment? Would I still obey God if nobody noticed, affirmed, or applauded my obedience? Invite the Holy Spirit to reveal what needs surrender. Remember: The purpose of the plumbline is not to measure everyone else's wall while refusing to let God measure our own. True discernment is not merely recognizing what is wrong around us. It begins with allowing God to make what is within us right before Him. Search the heart. Welcome the light. Walk in surrender. Scripture measures. Wisdom aligns. Obedience transforms. E41 Let God's Word Reveal the Heart | ABIDE Your Daily Plumbline Day 2 M3 |

God is not only concerned with what we do. He examines why we do it. Welcome to E41, Day 2 - ABIDE of Your Daily Plumbline, Module 3: Biblical Worldview & Spirit-Formed Discernment, from Ruach School of Ministry. Today's focus is Let God's Word Reveal the Heart - Motives Under the Light. It is possible to do the right thing for the wrong reason. We can defend our decisions, justify our attitudes, and even pursue spiritual things without recognizing the hidden motives influencing our hearts. But the Word of God reaches deeper than outward appearances. Today's Scripture: Proverbs 16:2 (NKJV) "All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the spirits." This is why abiding in Scripture matters. We do not come to God's Word merely to find confirmation for what we already believe. We come with surrendered hearts, allowing His truth to reveal our assumptions, expose our motives, and bring our inner lives into alignment with Christ. Spirit-formed discernment begins with humility. Before we attempt to discern what is happening around us, we must be willing to let God examine what is happening within us. TODAY'S PLUMBLINE CHALLENGE Spend intentional time with Proverbs 16:2. Ask yourself: What has been driving my recent decisions—obedience, fear, pride, approval, or love? Where have I assumed my motives were pure without allowing Scripture to examine them? What attitude or desire needs to be surrendered to Jesus today? Do not rush to defend yourself. Remain before the Lord. Invite His correction. Allow His Word to search what you may have overlooked. Because discernment without self-examination can become pride, but discernment rooted in humility produces maturity. The goal is not simply to recognize what is wrong around us. It is to become people whose hearts are increasingly aligned with the truth of God. Scripture measures. Wisdom aligns. Obedience transforms. E40 | Let God Bring Your Motives Into the Light - Day 1 M3: RECEIVE | Your Daily Plumbline

Welcome to Episode 40 of the Ruach Breath of God Podcast and Day 1 of Your Daily Plumbline for Module 3: Motives Under the Light. This week, we begin asking a deeply personal question: What is really driving me? God is not only interested in what we do. He cares about what is forming within us while we do it. Our desires, ambitions, reactions, wounds, hopes, and even good intentions can all become places where the Holy Spirit lovingly brings greater clarity. But this is not an invitation into condemnation or unhealthy self-examination. It is an invitation into the light. David prayed: “Search me, O God, and know my heart…”  Psalm 139:23, NKJV That is the posture of this module: Search me. Know me. Show me. Lead me. The purpose of the plumbline is not to measure everybody else’s wall. It is to love the One holding it enough to let Him measure ours. Today, receive the invitation of Jesus to become more searchable, teachable, surrendered, and free. Whatever He reveals, bring it toward Him - not away from Him. God brings things into the light because He loves us enough to form what is true. Your Daily Plumbline is a short devotional rhythm from Ruach School of Ministry designed to help us slow down, listen, reflect, and carry spiritual formation into everyday life. Don’t rush. Don’t hide. Stay open to Jesus. E39 Bring What God Has Been Forming | GATHER Your Daily Plumbline Day 7 M2 |

Spiritual formation happens in the secret place, but it is strengthened and expressed in community. What God has been forming in you was never meant to remain isolated. Bring what you've received into fellowship, where truth is strengthened, wisdom is shared, and obedience becomes a way of life. Welcome to Day 7 - GATHER of Your Daily Plumbline, Module 2: The Measuring Line of Scripture, from Ruach School of Ministry. Throughout this week, we have been learning what it means to bring our lives under the authority of God's Word. We have received truth, remained in Scripture, pursued understanding, examined our hearts, practiced obedience, and responded to what God has revealed. Now we gather. Because we were never meant to walk this journey of formation alone. Biblical wisdom is not merely something we acquire privately. It must shape how we love, listen, serve, receive correction, and walk alongside others in the Body of Christ. The measuring line of Scripture does not change when we enter community. It continues to govern our conversations, relationships, decisions, and leadership. Today's Scripture: Matthew 18:20 (NKJV) Jesus reminds us of His presence among those gathered in His name. Today's Plumbline Challenge As you gather with fellow believers, reflect on three questions: What truth has God been forming in me this week? Where has Scripture challenged or corrected my perspective? How can I bring what I have learned into my relationships, church, and daily life? Come prepared to listen, share, pray, and encourage others. Remember: We do not gather merely to discuss what we have learned. We gather to strengthen one another as we learn to live what God has spoken. The goal is not simply greater knowledge. It is a life increasingly aligned with Jesus Christ. Scripture measures. Wisdom aligns. Obedience transforms. E38 What Will You Do With What God Has Shown You? | RESPOND Daily Plumbline Day 6 M2 |

Revelation calls for a response. Truth was never meant to be admired from a distance. It was meant to be lived. God has shown you the measuring line. The question now is not what you have learned - but what you are willing to bring into alignment. Welcome to Day 6 - RESPOND of Your Daily Plumbline, Module 2: The Measuring Line of Scripture, from Ruach School of Ministry. Throughout this module, we have been learning to see, think, and live from God's perspective - allowing Scripture to measure our beliefs, confront our assumptions, correct our thinking, and govern our decisions. But now comes a necessary question: What will you do with what God has shown you? It is possible to hear truth, recognize where we have been wrong, and even agree with Scripture without allowing that truth to change how we live. James reminds us that blessing is connected not merely to hearing the Word, but to continuing in it and becoming a doer. Today's Scripture: James 1:25 (NKJV) Today is about bringing the week's teaching into an intentional response. Reflect on what God has revealed. Complete your formation assignment. Share what you are learning with your community. Spend time in prayer, and commit yourself to the next step of obedience. Today's Plumbline Challenge: What truth has confronted you this week? Where has Scripture exposed something out of alignment? What specific response will demonstrate that you are not merely hearing the Word, but allowing it to form your life? Do not leave the truth in your notebook. Carry it into your decisions, relationships, attitudes, and daily obedience. Scripture measures. Wisdom aligns. Obedience transforms. E36 Building a Life That Can Carry Weight - Biblical Foundations: Your Daily Plumbline | M2 Days 1-4:

The strength of your spiritual life is not measured by how much Scripture you know, but by how deeply you allow God's Word to shape the way you live. Welcome back to Your Daily Plumbline with Rev. Anthony Morphis, presented by Ruach School of Ministry. In this episode, we begin Module 2 (M2): Biblical Foundations for Spirit-Formed Leadership, covering Days 1-4 of our daily journey toward spiritual maturity. Every life is being built on something. But what happens when pressure, disappointment, responsibility, or unexpected storms reveal what is beneath the surface? Jesus taught that the wise man built his house upon the rock. Both the wise and foolish builders faced storms, but only one foundation could withstand the pressure. The difference was not appearance. It was foundation. Biblical foundations are not established through information alone. They are formed through a life of surrender, obedience, correction, and daily submission to the lordship of Jesus Christ. Throughout this episode, we consider: Why knowing Scripture is not the same as living Scripture. How daily obedience establishes spiritual stability. Why God's Word must become our foundation, not merely a resource during difficult seasons. The importance of allowing Scripture to confront, correct, and reshape our lives. What it means to build a life rooted in Christ rather than dependent on spiritual experiences or emotions. Key Scriptures (NKJV): Matthew 7:24-27 | James 1:22-25 | Joshua 1:8 | Psalm 1:1-3 | 2 Timothy 3:16-17 Here is the plumbline: You cannot build a Spirit-formed life on occasional inspiration while neglecting daily obedience. God's Word must become more than something we read, quote, or teach. It must become the truth by which we examine our hearts, govern our decisions, and align our lives with Jesus. As you listen, ask yourself: Am I building my life on what God has said, or simply on what feels right in the moment? The goal is not merely to become biblically informed. The goal is to become biblically formed. Join us as we continue learning to build lives that can carry spiritual weight without losing intimacy, humility, or obedience. Intimacy before influence. Character before gifting. Formation before function. Your Daily Plumbline Rev. E35 From Encounter to Formation - The Spirit-Filled Life: Your Daily Plumbline | Days 5-7 M1:

Being filled with the Holy Spirit is not the finish line. It is the beginning of a life surrendered to His transforming work. Welcome back to Your Daily Plumbline with Rev. Anthony Morphis, presented by Ruach School of Ministry. In this episode, we continue through Days 5-7 of Module 1: The Spirit-Filled Life - Foundation for Spirit-Formed Leadership. The Holy Spirit was never given simply to produce powerful moments, spiritual excitement, or outward manifestations. He dwells within us to reveal Jesus Christ, lead us into truth, strengthen our obedience, and form His character in our everyday lives. An encounter with God can change a moment. But a life yielded to the Holy Spirit is shaped through daily surrender. As we continue this journey of spiritual formation, consider these questions: Am I pursuing spiritual experiences more than spiritual maturity? Is the Holy Spirit forming my character as deeply as I desire His power? Am I allowing God's Word to correct and reshape how I live? What evidence of the Spirit's work is becoming visible in my everyday relationships, decisions, and responses? Galatians 5:22-23 | Romans 8:14 | John 15:4-5 (NKJV) The measure of a Spirit-filled life is not simply what happens through us in moments of ministry, but also what the Holy Spirit is producing within us over time. The goal is not merely to be used by God. It is to be formed by God. Let these daily reflections encourage you to return to Scripture, examine your heart, and make room for the Holy Spirit to continue His work. Because the life God forms in private will shape the way we serve Him in public. Intimacy before influence. Character before gifting. Formation before function. Your Daily Plumbline Rev.
