    S4 | Episode 36: Secular Songs, Sacred Moments

    Donuts, honesty, and a whole lot of unexpected worship moments — welcome back to That Sounds Holy! 🍩 This episode was inspired by a question from our IG community: "What are secular songs that could be interpreted as worship?" So we opened up about the songs, shows, and even sports drills God has used to speak to us lately — and it got surprisingly deep for a "light" episode. We talk through Coldplay's Fix You, Sara Bareilles' Home and Satellite Call, Linkin Park's Somewhere I Belong, and Olivia Rodrigo's "Begged" (yes, really) — plus we clear up the difference between CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) and actual worship music, since not all Christian songs are meant for a worship set. Cai when he felt called to fulltime mission work. And spoiler: she ended up becoming a missionary too. In this episode, Issa and Vanya sit down with two of their favorite people — Kuya Dan and Nico — both fulltime missionaries who also happen to be providers of their families. They talk about the real cost of saying yes to mission life: the finances that don't always make sense, the fear on the way to camp, the merch you can't afford at FeastCon (and somehow the jacket came anyway).     S4 | Episode 30: Called, Not Qualified (And We Have the Frog Stories to Prove It)

    Aio's still out for this ep, so this week we brought in two very 'special' guests: Nico Tee and Dan Valerio, both full-time missionaries and our chaos-enabling friends from the mission life. We talked about what it actually looks like to say yes to God when you weren't exactly planning to. Like, at all. Nico was pinilit by his nanay to go to youth camp (classic). Dan was drowning in lesson plans, exams, and paperwork. And somehow, here they both are 7 years into missions, journeying with young people, and occasionally getting locked inside comfort rooms.
