    DAY 282 — “I AM THE WAY”

DAY 282 — “I AM THE WAY” John 14 You don't have to find your own way to God. God has already made the way to you. His name is JESUS! In John 14, Jesus speaks to disciples whose world is about to be turned upside down. They're confused, afraid, and uncertain about the future. And Jesus tells them: “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.” — John 14:1 Then He makes one of the most powerful declarations in all of Scripture: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” — John 14:6 Don't miss what Jesus is saying! He doesn't say He knows the way. He IS the way. He doesn't simply teach the truth. He IS the truth. He doesn't merely offer a better life. He IS the life. Our world wants us to believe that every spiritual road eventually leads to God. But Jesus makes it clear—salvation is found in Christ alone! And here's the beautiful part: Jesus doesn't just tell His followers where He's going. He promises to prepare a place for them, return for them, and give them His peace. So whatever you're facing today, remember: Your peace isn't found in knowing what tomorrow holds. Your peace is found in knowing the One who holds tomorrow. 🎙️ Day 282 of The Story of Scripture — “I Am the Way” One Savior. One Way. One eternal hope. Day 277 — “Hosanna to the Son of David”

Day 277 — “Hosanna to the Son of David” Matthew 21 | The Story of Scripture The crowds were celebrating. Cloaks covered the road, branches were spread before Him, and voices filled Jerusalem: “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” — Matthew 21:9 But there was something the crowds did not fully understand. Hosanna means “Save us, we pray!” Many were longing for a Messiah who would deliver them from Roman oppression and restore Israel's earthly kingdom. And Jesus had indeed come to save—but from something far greater. He came to deliver sinners from the guilt and penalty of sin through His death and resurrection. The people were looking for a crown, but Jesus was moving toward a cross. And that raises an important question for us today: Do we want Jesus for who He truly is, or only for what we hope He will do for us? It is possible to celebrate Jesus while resisting His authority. It is possible to praise Him with our lips while refusing to surrender our lives. Jesus did not enter Jerusalem merely to receive applause. He came as the promised King, the compassionate Savior, and the One who would willingly give His life for sinners. Within days, He would wear a crown of thorns. But three days after His death, He would rise victorious from the grave! Remember this today: The crowds cried, “Hosanna—save us!” And Jesus answered that cry, not with an earthly throne, but with a cross and an empty tomb. He is worthy of far more than our applause. He is worthy of our surrender. 🎧 The Story of Scripture with Pastor John Day 277 — Matthew 21 #StoryOfScripture #Hosanna #Matthew21 #SonOfDavid #JesusChrist #DailyDevotional Support the show

Day 276 — “The King Comes”

Day 276 — “The King Comes” Luke 19 | The Story of Scripture The King of kings enters Jerusalem—not on a warhorse, surrounded by armies, but riding on a borrowed donkey. The crowds celebrate, spreading their cloaks along the road and crying out: “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” — Luke 19:38 But then something extraordinary happens. While the crowds rejoice, Jesus weeps. He looks over Jerusalem, knowing the city desperately needs the very peace it is failing to recognize. He knows rejection, suffering, and the cross are ahead of Him. Yet His heart is filled with compassion. The holiness of Jesus does not diminish His compassion, and His compassion does not diminish His holiness. What a powerful reminder for us today. When we look at a lost world, do we see people who frustrate us, or souls who desperately need a Savior? Jesus did not enter Jerusalem simply to change Israel's political circumstances. He came to accomplish something eternally greater—the salvation of sinners through His death and resurrection. The crowds were looking for a crown, but Jesus was moving toward a cross. And that leaves us with an important question: Have we welcomed Jesus as He truly is, or only as we want Him to be? He is not merely a King who improves our circumstances. He is the Savior who confronts our sin, calls us to repentance, and offers eternal life through faith in Him. Remember this today: The King has come. The King has conquered. And the King is coming again. 🎧 The Story of Scripture with Pastor John Day 276 — Luke 19 #StoryOfScripture #TheKingComes #Luke19 #JesusChrist #PalmSunday #DailyDevotional Support the show

Day 275 — “I Am the Resurrection and the Life”

Day 275 — “I Am the Resurrection and the Life” John 11 | The Story of Scripture What do you do when you know Jesus loves you, but He doesn't seem to be moving? Mary and Martha knew that feeling. Their brother Lazarus was dying, and they sent word to Jesus. But instead of rushing to Bethany, Jesus waited. By the time He arrived, Lazarus had been in the tomb for four days. Martha met Jesus with words filled with grief: “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” But Jesus responded with one of the greatest declarations in all of Scripture: “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.” — John 11:25 Jesus wasn't simply promising a future resurrection. He was revealing that He Himself possesses authority over life and death. And then something remarkable happened. Jesus wept. The One who knew He was about to raise Lazarus still entered into the sorrow of those He loved. The Savior who has authority over death is not indifferent to the pain death causes. Then Jesus stood before the tomb and cried out, “Lazarus, come out!” And a dead man walked out alive. But this miracle pointed toward something even greater. Jesus Himself would soon enter a tomb after bearing our sins on the cross. And on the third day, He would rise again—never to die again! Whatever you are facing today, remember: Our greatest hope is not that we will never experience suffering or death. Our hope is that we belong to the One who has already defeated it. Jesus asked Martha a question that still confronts every one of us: “Do you believe this?” The tomb is empty. Christ is alive. And for those who belong to Him, death will never have the final word. Jesus does. 🎧 The Story of Scripture with Pastor John Day 275 — John 11 #StoryOfScripture #John11 #ResurrectionAndLife #JesusChrist #DailyDevotional Support the show
