EP68:The Forgotten Truth: Why the Body Still Holds Trauma After Abuse

*Trigger Warning*: This episode includes discussion of domestic abuse and trauma. Please listen with care and pause or step away if needed. If this conversation brings anything up for you, support is available. You may wish to reach out to Lokahi Foundation, who provide resources and support for those affected by domestic and family violence. In this episode, I’m joined by client and guest Becki, founder of Women’s Weightlifting Club and The Reset Retreat, for a bold, embodied conversation on healing after abuse and reclaiming the body as a source of strength, not fear. Together, we unpack the often forgotten truth of how trauma is held in the body, and how Kundalini and energy work can activate deep, lasting healing by working directly with the nervous system to release survival patterns and restore inner safety. Grounded in lived experience and embodied leadership, this conversation bridges physical power, energetic healing, and self-trust, revealing how women move from survival into sovereignty, reconnecting with purpose, presence, and an unapologetic voice. If you are ready to feel safe in your body, connected to your intuition, dreams and purpose. So you can live the most fulfilling life that you were meant to live. EP 63: When Sh*t Hits The Fan, How To Manage The Messy Parts Of Your Life Just Before The Transformation

This episode is one of those episodes to pop on when you are in the thick in it, in your growth. Where the big shifts, and changes you have asked for, are now coming together. Being grounded in these new changes is the most important thing to do. So not to avoid self-sabotage, and to regulate your nervous system to understand that safety, and stability is the most expansive place to be during this phase. And if we do we self sabotage, then that is ok, but take lessons from it, how to have grace with yourself if this does occur, and sometimes my friends, it isn't pretty, but we have to repeat this old pattern one more time, to stand up and be like NO MORE! As always, this is coming from my own lived experiences and from patterns I see in clients. I emphasize the importance of grounding oneself during transitions, taking radical responsibility for one's life, and staying authentic amidst challenges. I also discuss the patterns that arise during these times and encourage listeners to embrace change while remaining connected to their core values and support systems. If you feel called to go deep, and re wire these patterns once and for all, then you can apply for my 1:1 Membership below: https://calendly.com/lucyewood/apply-for-1-1-heart-healing-transformation Alternatively, if you want to try a session in the space of your own home, click here to book a session: https://calendly.com/lucyewood/onlineonetoone Keep upto date on the show, and how to heal that beautiful heart of yours, follow me on insta: @thisismelucywood Or Subscribe to my YouTube: @Workingunderpleasure.
