    174. Red Fishing the Carolina Coast - Rob Greer

Glen and Hudson are joined by our good friend Rob to talk about his recent fishing off the coast of North Carolina. How do you fish for red fish? What kind of waters to fish? Is Rob a fan of the Hemingway canon? Oyster cages, manta rays, morning cigars, sore arms and Glen exiled to the garage on this week’s episode of the OOAP. - - - This episode is sponsored by J.D. Adams Fly Fishing Outfitters in Oklahoma City. They are actively building community within Oklahoma in an attempt to help every fly fisherman become more successful. They are ready and able to answer any question you might have about where to go, how to fly fish, or what flies to use. They offer a number of both freshwater and saltwater destinations around the world. They are open Monday-Saturday 10-6. Find them at jdamsco.com or on instagram and facebook @jdadams.co - - - This episode is sponsored by TEG Farms. One of our good friends and former podcast guests Noah Edwards is selling beef from their farm in SW Oklahoma. This gives them an incredible taste and wonderful marbling without the traditional feedlot atmosphere. The beef is butchered in a USDA inspected facility and it is unbelievably good.  Visit their website TEGfarms.com Text Noah at (405) 200-5127 for pricing and availability.

    167. Origins: The Comanche Empire

This week we finally come back to our Origins series and Hudson talks about the most powerful Native American tribe in American history, the Comanche. The Comanche commanded the Great Plains, conquering from horseback both man and bison. They brought European empires to a standstill, terrorized Mexico, brutalized the American West, and traded horse herds so large they impacted the global economy. The Comanche were feared for their violence which was reciprocated mainly by the Texas Rangers, who were founded to combat the Comanche raiders. The Comanche are embedded in American history and responsible for the evening redness of the west. - - - This episode is sponsored by J.D. Adams Fly Fishing Outfitters in Oklahoma City.
