I share The Polyvagal Theory and the State Map that I use with my clients to help you understand which state you are in so you can help shift yourself out of a dysregulated state. I share one of my deepest secrets that I was holding all to myself because I was worried about what others would think of me, and doing so helped me release the shame and reclaim my power. This is my lived experience and my beliefs based on the experiences I have been through and I believe it's a really important conversation we need to be having due to the mental health crisis that we are currently in.     In this episode I share my relationship journey with my wife, Sarah J. Within that journey I did meet and marry a man, my ex husband - and I share some of the pain and trauma that was cause by being married to him as well as the trauma caused by the church during our marriage. It was a long brutiful road to get to where I am today in really embracing my sexuality. While I wouldn't want anyone else to go through these situations, they do happen and they are happening and it's time for me to share my voice to break the silence.
