    Take Him at HIs Word

This episode explores taking God at His word, emphasizing the importance of trusting in His plans and promises, even when circumstances seem challenging.  Vanessa uses the example of Jeremiah prophesying to Israel about their subjugation under King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. Despite the Israelites' disbelief and resistance, God's plan was ultimately for their welfare and restoration. The podcast highlights God's omniscience and the depth of His plans, often beyond human understanding. It also touches on the tendency of people to gravitate towards comforting messages rather than facing the truth of God's word, including His rebukes and corrections. Ultimately, the message is one of surrender and trust in God's wisdom and His ultimate plan for our lives, even when His methods or outcomes are not immediately clear to us as His children.

Between The Rock and a Hard Place

Proverbs 29:25 tells us “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe. Fear is the absence of trust. Should we expect God to answer us when we call on him out of fear of man, or fear of what may happen. Pontius Pilate was put in a precarious position because of his fear. He had the opportunity to make a decision based on what Jesus said or what people said. When we operate in fear we give fear the judge's seat which is an elevated position.

Living a Life Worthy of the Gospel

How do we live a life worthy of the Gospel? It would seem that our lives fail in comparison to all the Bible tells us. Having high expectations means that someone has set standards or goals that are ambitious, demanding, and challenging. Our lives should be a reflection of Christ (Imago), Our lives should have or show the qualities or abilities that merit recognition from Jesus. In this episode we discuss what the Apostle Paul said were things that should be evident in our daily lives.
