Matthew also just screened FOOD 2050 at the Sundance Film Festival in January. The film is narrated by Oscar Winner Viola Davis. Hilariously, the name of their production company was bestowed upon them by none other than David Fincher. In this episode, we discuss what inspires him and what he aims to achieve with his stories. This film also received high praise from Quentin Tarantino.  On top of that, he was recruited to DP for the Mermaid, a crime thriller starring the legendary Mel Gibson. Brandon shares some of his favorite moments from working with Mel, who is currently filming the Resurrection of the Christ (which will be released in two parts). Brandon also talks about his experience working on the recently wrapped NETFLIX series FREE BERT, starring Bert Kreisher. Brandon Cox is on an incredible streak and it has only just begun.

    Cinematographer Pithai Smithsuth - White Lotus Season 3

Then he went into a completely different field, first into music, then commiting to and graduating from aviation school. But he never forgot the wonder he experienced on Fincher's set.  He began line producing in Thailand and one day the cinematographer was held up on a flight and he was given his big break, which led to a Vimeo Staff Pick. Pretty soon, Nike came calling and he filmed multiple pieces for them in Thailand. Then he began and incredible run including Da Five Bloods with Spike Lee, Killers of the Flower Moon with Martin Scorsese and Rodrigo Prieto, and the Creator with Greig Fraser, Oren Soffer, and Gareth Edwards.  If you're familiar with the film industry, you know that it is common for a job to appear the moment you purchase a plane ticket out of town. This is exactly what happened to Pithai when he and his family set out to return to the United States.  This time, the call was for White Lotus Season 3, and Pithai would be working alongside a DP he long admired; Ben Kutchins.     Cinematographer Peter Simonite - Day of the Fight

    Cinematographer Peter Simonite shares some incredible insights into his process and how DAY OF THE FIGHT was created. Through his experiences coming up in the Austin film scene, he brought a rich, poetic lensing to Jack Huston's debut feature film.     David Baram is a graduate of Harvard Law who went on to run the premier talent management company in the film industry for nearly a decade.
