    Charlie Craige Message | Take Off the Grave Clothes | Lazarus, Salvation & Discipleship

    Jesus brings us from death to life, but He never intended for us to walk this new life alone. In John 11:38–44, Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead and then gives an interesting command to those standing nearby: "Take off the grave clothes and let him go." Jesus performed the miracle of resurrection, but He invited the people around Lazarus to participate in removing what still had him bound. In this powerful Christian message, "Take Off the Grave Clothes," Charlie Craige, FCA Campus Director at Georgia State University, explores the relationship between salvation, discipleship, sanctification, and the importance of Christian community. Salvation isn't simply about becoming a better person. It's about going from death to life through Jesus Christ. But following Jesus doesn't end with salvation. It's the beginning of a transformed life! Through the story of Lazarus, we explore three important truths: From Death to Life: Salvation — Only Jesus can save us and restore our relationship with God. Removing the Grave Clothes: Discipleship — God calls believers to walk alongside one another, helping each other grow, heal, and experience freedom. Clothed in Righteousness: Abundant Life — Through Christ, we can put off our old ways and embrace the new life God has given us. Jesus did the resurrecting, but He called His followers to help remove the grave clothes. Are you still carrying things from your old life? Are you allowing godly community to help you grow? And are you willing to get your hands dirty helping someone else experience the transforming love of Jesus?     John Chapter 2 Bible Study Recap

    What happens when Jesus steps into the ordinary—and what does Jesus actually want from His Church? In this episode of the Life His Way Podcast, Charlie Craige and Arthur Attrill continue their journey through the Gospel of John with John chapter 2. Recapping conversations from the FCA Men’s Bible Study at Georgia State University, they unpack Jesus’ first recorded miracle at the wedding in Cana, where He turns water into wine, and His powerful cleansing of the Temple in Jerusalem. But these stories are about much more than wine and flipping tables.
