    Paul Hayward is one of the UK's most respected and successful sports journalists. Before pausing his career in 2020, he had been Chief Sports Writer at The Telegraph, The Guardian, Mail and The Observer. He has co-authored several sports autobiographies too including, most recently Kevin Sinfield's 'The Extra Mile'. He also wrote the definitive 150-year history of the England men's team in the book 'England Football - The Biography (1872-2022)'. Paul's sports journalism has taken him all over the world, covering Men's World Cups and Olympics.

    Pilot Episode 1: Karen Dobres

    To kick this series of podcasts off, there's no place like home. So, I decided to experiment on my wife. No, not like that, but by asking Karen to become my first ever guest and help me figure this podcasting thing out. Karen has had an eclectic life path, from would-be journalist to catwalk model to Counsellor and, latterly, football club director. Somewhere along the way, she married me, which was good. Karen tells me about six places that hosted a happy memory and what they mean to her. And I also ask Karen about one more place, somewhere she hasn't yet been but would love to visit some day.
