Was Chasing Healing... Until I Realized This

What if the biggest thing standing between you and healing isn't another supplement, protocol, or doctor's appointment... but the relationship you have with your own body? After more than 20 years of navigating chronic illness and over 140 conversations with doctors, researchers, practitioners, and people who have experienced remarkable healing, Holly has come to a surprising realization. Healing isn't just about finding the right protocol. It's not even just about building healthy habits. There's a deeper foundation beneath it all. In this heartfelt solo episode, Holly shares the evolution of her own healing journey—from chasing answers, to discovering the foundational pillars of health, to realizing that the most important shift wasn't another treatment at all... it was learning to stop fighting her body and start partnering with it instead. If you've ever felt exhausted trying to "fix" yourself, overwhelmed by conflicting health advice, or discouraged because you're doing everything right but still don't feel well, this episode will encourage you to see healing through a different lens. In this episode, you'll learn: • The three phases that transformed Holly's understanding of healing • Why foundational lifestyle habits like sleep, nutrition, hydration, movement, sunlight, breath, and stress reduction still matter—and why they aren't the whole story • The bridge analogy that changed Holly's perspective on healing • Why your relationship with your body may be the hidden foundation supporting everything else • How shifting from fear to trust can transform the healing journey • A simple question that may change the way you approach your health moving forward Whether you're living with lupus, Hashimoto's, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, MCAS, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Lyme disease, or another chronic illness, this episode offers a hopeful perspective on building a healthier relationship with yourself while continuing to pursue excellent medical care. This conversation also marks the beginning of a new chapter for The Health Bridge Podcast—one that continues exploring holistic healing while diving deeper into the mindset, beliefs, identity, and relationship with our body that shape every part of the healing journey. What an Integrative Cancer Conference Taught Me About Autoimmune Healing

What if healing isn't about finding the perfect protocol—but about creating the right environment for your body to heal? After volunteering at the Beljanski Integrative Cancer Foundation Conference, I left with far more than pages of notes. Surrounded by leading physicians, researchers, and integrative medicine practitioners, I expected to learn about advances in cancer care. What surprised me was how often the conversations echoed the same principles I've been teaching for years to women living with autoimmune disease. In this solo episode, I'm sharing the biggest lessons I brought home—and why they apply far beyond cancer. We dive into why healing is never one-size-fits-all, how your body's internal "terrain" influences health, the role of detoxification and mitochondrial function, why emotional healing and nervous system regulation deserve a place in every healing conversation, and how small daily choices can have a profound impact over time. Most importantly, we explore one word that kept surfacing throughout the conference: Freedom. Freedom from believing your diagnosis is the final chapter. Freedom to ask better questions. Freedom to become an active participant in your healing journey. Whether you're navigating lupus, another autoimmune condition, chronic fatigue, chronic inflammation, or simply searching for a more holistic approach to health, this episode will challenge the way you think about healing—and hopefully leave you with a renewed sense of possibility. In this episode, you'll learn: • Why healing should always be individualized—not based on a one-size-fits-all protocol. • What "healing the terrain" means and why it matters for autoimmune disease, chronic illness, and overall wellness. • How detoxification, mitochondrial health, and daily lifestyle habits support long-term healing. • The connection between trauma, mindset, nervous system regulation, and physical health. • Why there is no single "magic bullet"—and why that's actually good news. • How to begin creating your own path toward greater health, resilience, and freedom. The Hidden Cost of Loneliness on Autoimmune Disease (It's More Than Emotional)

There's a kind of loneliness that has nothing to do with being alone. It's the loneliness of feeling disconnected from your body. The loneliness of carrying things nobody else can see. The loneliness of wondering if anyone truly understands what you're experiencing. In today's conversation, I'm joined by holistic biomedical expert David Ortega B. for a powerful discussion about the role connection plays in our health, our healing, and our relationship with ourselves. While many conversations around autoimmune disease focus on symptoms, treatments, and protocols, this episode explores something deeper: the biological and emotional impact of disconnection. David shares how loneliness influences the nervous system, stress response, inflammation, and even the way our genes are expressed. We also discuss why meaningful relationships, community, self-compassion, and daily rituals may be some of the most overlooked pieces of the healing journey. One of my favorite moments in this conversation is when David challenges us to stop viewing our bodies as the enemy and instead begin rebuilding a relationship with them through understanding, appreciation, and connection. Whether you're navigating lupus, another autoimmune condition, chronic fatigue, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, this episode offers a refreshing reminder that healing isn't something we're meant to do alone. In This Episode: • Why loneliness affects more than just emotional well-being • The connection between stress, inflammation, and chronic illness • How meaningful relationships support nervous system regulation • What epigenetics can teach us about healing • Why community matters for those living with autoimmune disease • The importance of creating simple daily rituals • Rebuilding trust with a body that feels unpredictable • The role of self-compassion in the healing process • How ancestral patterns may influence our health and behaviors • Why connection—both with others and ourselves—may be one of the most powerful healing tools available Connect with David: www.davidortegab.com   Listen to David's Podcasts: https://youtube.com/@davidortegabscience https://www.youtube.com/@ConsciousHealth8 Connect With Holly ✨ Free Daily Thrive Guide & Wellness Tracker: https://subscribepage.io/dailyguide ✨ Book a Healing Breakthrough Call: https://tidycal.com/workwithhollyb/breakthrough-call ✨ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/health_bridge_coaching If this episode resonated with you, please share it with a friend, leave a review, or send me a message. Why Your Body Never Gets the Chance to Heal | The Missing Piece in Autoimmune Recovery

What role does glutathione play in autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue, inflammation, and overall cellular health? In this episode of The Health Bridge Podcast, Holly Beck sits down with pharmacist, researcher, and author of The Glutathione Revolution, Dr. Nayan Patel, for a thought-provoking conversation about one of the body's most important yet overlooked molecules: glutathione. Often referred to as the body's "master antioxidant," glutathione plays a critical role in protecting cells from oxidative stress, supporting detoxification, maintaining mitochondrial function, and helping the body manage the demands of modern life. But this conversation goes far beyond supplements. Together, Holly and Dr. Patel explore a foundational question: What happens when the body spends so much energy managing inflammation, toxic burden, and stress that it has little left for repair and recovery? They discuss the relationship between oxidative stress and autoimmune disease, why mitochondrial health matters for energy production, and how foundational lifestyle habits may influence resilience, vitality, and quality of life. For women living with lupus, Hashimoto's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjögren's syndrome, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, or other autoimmune conditions, this episode offers a fresh perspective on supporting the body from the ground up. In this episode, you'll learn: • What glutathione is and why it is essential for cellular health • The connection between oxidative stress, inflammation, and autoimmune disease • Why mitochondrial function is critical for energy and fatigue recovery • How chronic stress affects the body's ability to maintain balance • The difference between symptom management and foundational support • Why sleep, hydration, nutrition, and lifestyle habits remain essential for long-term health • How modern environmental exposures may increase the body's need for antioxidant support • What it means to become an active participant in your healing journey About Dr. Nayan Patel: Dr. Nayan Patel is a sought-after pharmacist, wellness expert, researcher, and author of The Glutathione Revolution: Fight Disease, Slow Aging & Increase Energy. For more than two decades, he has worked alongside physicians to develop personalized medication and nutrition programs for patients, including celebrities, CEOs, and healthcare professionals.
