    In this episode of "Quitting the Classroom," Lexa describes her journey finding her niche as a literacy specialist as a private teacher. When she left the classroom in 2020, she was poised with a dilemma: a forest of opportunity as a private teacher but minimal direction on how to develop a niche. The sibling duo dive into ways that transitioning classroom teachers can "start wide, then niche down:" or as Lexa likes say to say, "Chisel the stone to find the masterpiece." Lexa gives examples of ways other teachers can learn to leverage their knacks and particular interests as a way to can grow into your niche.
