  1. Fierce boundaries around our dreams with April

    APR 27

Fierce boundaries around our dreams with April

How do our dreams guide us? How do we keep them safe? How do we celebrate them? And how do we trust the process? What if our dreams want for us to be the most thriving version of ourselves and we have to create the space for that to happen? So. Many Questions. For our April episode, we are journeying with the linocut piece, Damsel Dreamer, exploring the theme of how we meet our ‘dreams’, and call them towards us as we step gently into deeper and deeper understanding of ourselves. Damsel Dreamer came to be last summer after spending time in the magic of sparkling English streams and rivers teeming with damselfly and that sense that something unseen is truly just out of sight, willing dreams to come to fruition. It’s a hand painted gradient linoprint with gold dotting. The affirmation that the dreamer shares with us is "I know that what is possible is bigger than I could imagine. I allow myself to vision and dream with no restrictions." Our gorgeous conversation this month is with April, of the Nourish Co, who many of you around Essex will know. April is a plant based retreat chef Proudly serving simple, wholesome soul food. Her focus is community, Bringing people together at the table to share plant-based meals. 2. Welcoming the Inner Union with Tamara

    MAR 18

Welcoming the Inner Union with Tamara

What if we could make a commitment to ourselves that welcomed every single part of us and the wisdom it has to share back home into our bodies? Embraced the messy and the wiggly and celebrated it as human? What if that improved not only our relationship with ourselves but everyone and everything we come into contact with? For March’s episode, we journey with the linocut piece, Merging, exploring the theme of how we ‘Merge' with ourselves and dance with balance through an incredible conversation with Tamara and her work with the inner union, or self marriage Tamara and I met on a Wild Power Menstruation empowerment course with Red School in 2020 and she has been in the inner circle of my world ever since despite the fact that we live on different continents. She lives with her gorgeous son in the beautiful Okanagan in BC Canada and works as an astrology + meditation guide, weaving into her work all the ways that nature is part of who we are. She says, “I have faced the wretched and the glorious within me. I teach and do readings from that full scope of living.” I can attest to that, and that our relationship and support of each other has been a balm through some of the most challenging twists and turns of life. Tamara says she will forever advocate for the wild spaces that we keep within ourselves because that is our sovereignty, the ultimate purpose, the point of why we are here on this little strange and magical home called earth. To find our wildness, buried deep within. To free it and to free all others in the process. And those words couldn’t really resonate with me more. 3. Giving ourselves permission to feel with Elise from Premanjali

    FEB 18

Giving ourselves permission to feel with Elise from Premanjali

For Series Three we are journeying alongside 12 pieces of art for 2026 each piece of art has a theme and there will be one episode a month that unpacks it a little bit more with a guest. For February’s episode, we journey with Hear Her Howl, and the theme of 'Feel' through a beautifully deep and extensive conversation with Elise, a singer songwriter and one half of Premanjali.  We meander through so many facets of grief as we chat, from big gut-wrenching life events to the everyday. The organic theme that we kept returning to was the need to feel and to rest with these feelings to be able to befriend them. And that, for us in our different ways and with different mediums, that has been a guide towards a deepening of our unique Wild Creativity. Elise Kamala Premanjali is a UK-based singer-songwriter and sacred music artist blending folk-inspired melodies with devotional mantras as part of the husband-and-wife duo Premanjali. She is an experienced and heart-centred practitioner — a qualified Yoga and Pilates teacher with nearly 20 years of teaching experience, a trained life coach, and a Heart Meditation facilitator. Elise has been facilitating women’s circles for over a decade, and she performs internationally, sharing her music and teachings at retreats, workshops, festivals, and events around the world. Her work is rooted in spiritual expression, inner connection, and the nurturing of meaningful, heart-led community. 4. An invitation to our inner cosmos with Selma

    JAN 21

An invitation to our inner cosmos with Selma

For Series Three we are journeying alongside the Wild Creativity Calendar, each piece of art has a theme and there will be one episode a month that unpacks it a little bit more with a guest. On this first episode, we journey with Inner Cosmos, and the theme of 'Invite' through a conversation with one of my inner circle of humans, Selma. We delve into how our friendship, and the inner circle of humans around us, has invited a deeper relationship with our inner cosmos. The conversation explores how creativity supports us with that too, and how we’re continuing to navigate being wild humans with a strong inner and outer support system... & so much more... Selma is an artist, and founder of The Animist Artist studio. She creates to bring back a sense of magic into our everyday lives - celebrating folklore, fairy tale, Nature, and the quirkiness that makes our experience of life rich and wonderful. She says "Beauty is as important as efficiency. Play is more fun than trying to impress. There is room for Magic in our practical day-to-day. And maybe, just maybe... fairies and mermaids are real!" Her illustrations reflect a desire to re-enchant our worldview, rather than surrender to the mechanical and detached approach of the modern world. Through the visual power of imagery, her mission is to help people embrace and lead an enchanted way of life. Find Selma on instagram and on her website. Her illustration of the crone that she talks about in the episode is here. Inner Cosmos is a linocut print I made in 2024, it is the January page of the Wild Creativity Calendar, you can find original prints here and reproduction copies here. It is a celebration of the support system within us; the wisdom of the Inner Crone that allows us to comfort and hold our Inner Child, and vice versa ... an intricate and unique constellation. Our next Wild Creativity Gathering online is on Wednesday 4th Feb at 8pm UK time with the linocut print Hear Her Howl. We rest together in Yoga Nidra (Sacred Rest), journal, create and share. You can book your space here. All of you is welcome, however you feel that day, whatever you're navigating. 5. Team MedCan on telling real life stories through creativity

    10/28/2023

Team MedCan on telling real life stories through creativity

In this episode I speak with Dr Helen Beckett Wilson and Dr Lindsey Metcalf McGrath from Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) who have been studying the experiences of people who have been prescribed medical cannabis in the UK. Their project is called MedCan. Medical Cannabis has been legal to prescribe since 2018, but it’s estimated that under 5 people have received it though the NHS. The study we have gathered to talk about is called “It’s a big added stress on top of being so ill”, a direct quote from a participant. I have collaborated with them to create a short impactful video that shares an insight into the real life stories that they’ve uncovered, and now we’re here to discuss the backstory, how they did it, how the creative aspect fitted in and how it will be used. This conversation is such a beautiful revelation of how academic studies, that can sometimes be perceived as stuffy and highbrow, are intrinsically creative in their nature (particularly qualitative studies from a sociological point of view), and how through creative output we get to share their powerful findings with a wider audience. And that’s how we make change.  If you find this one interesting, go back and listen to my conversation with Dr Sara Baumann as well, discussing the power of collaboration and embedding creativity into processes within an academic setting. To find out more about the MedCan project, follow them on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/medcanproject/  The film is launched on 3rd November 2023 and will be available to watch on YouTube. 6. Nya Patrinos on embracing the darkness within ourselves through creativity

Nya Patrinos on embracing the darkness within ourselves through creativity

TW: there is mention of sexual assault in this episode, please take care of yourself and avoid this one if that is a not a topic you can hear about. It was through Nya’s determination and following her creative path that inadvertently introduced me to the Moon Phase Goddesses in 2020 (her relationship with them has been much longer - 7 years of research happened before she launched her deck in 2018) I’m so pleased to bring you this episode where we explore her experiences on this challenging and fulfilling adventure, and the creative life she has built. We discuss what brought her to the Moon Phase goddesses and her love of yoga. Nya tells us what happened when she told her parents that she wanted to be an artist and how that unfolded.  We discuss the gritty aspects of life that perhaps draw us to explore and discover things that challenge the social constructs. The things that inspire us to ask questions. Nya talks openly about the balance of creative work that’s for financial stability and creative work that’s a heart call. She shares about the experience of menopause and how that has impacted her approach. It’s real, it’s raw and it was so inspiring to me so I hope it is for you too.
