How do I even begin to describe Eliza -- she's a phenom, and I'm happy to count her amongst some of the most creatively passionate people I've ever known. She's a multifaceted visionary artist in the Alternative genre, but to me she's an incredibly talented and vibrant and passionate friend. With a viral online breakthrough, Eliza cultivated a following of over a half a million fans across the world accompanied by 30 million channel views. Her songwriting shines through collaborations with industry giants like Andrew Baylis (Jelly Roll), Cameron Mizell (Starset), as well as platinum producers David Bendeth (Paramore), Daniel Ladinsky (Grouplove, Zara Larson) and Pop/Rock legend Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens. Eliza's Youtube success ignited a passion for visual storytelling. Today, Eliza is a videographer and creative director whose behind retro-inspired documentary for platinum band Our Lady Peace & eye-catching short form content for Hopeless Records, Framing Hanley, and works as one of the creative powerhouses behind Soapbox (T-Pain, Yelawolf, etc.). Eliza also has also worked alongside fashion designer John Ashford (Paris Hilton, Lil Kim, Alicia Keys) on campaigns & has global publications in magazines world wide. #032 - Rob Rushing (Co-Founder of Non-profit Punk Rock Saves Lives)

This is a departure from my normal format of the podcast, but when I got the chance to interview Rob Rushing at Riot Fest in 2024, I had to do it by any means necessary. I didn't know I was going to meet him, so I had none of the things I usually use to do podcasts with me, so I had to improvise -- but man, so worth it. Rob is a co-founder of the nonprofit organization Punk Rock Saves Lives (PRSL). Rob shares his inspiring journey from working in record stores and singing in bands to founding a charity that focuses on mental health, harm reduction, and community support within the punk rock scene. Rob discusses the origins of PRSL, which was born out of the closure of Love Hope Strength's American outreach.
