You're Looking for energy in the Wrong Place

"I'm just exhausted." It's one of the most common things I hear from women. And while we often assume the answer is more sleep, a better diet, another supplement or squeezing in another workout... what if you're looking in the wrong place? In this episode, I'm sharing one of the core teachings from my Energy Reset Challenge and introducing the framework I use with my clients to help them understand why they really feel so depleted. Because your energy isn't just physical. It's influenced by four key energy systems that determine how you feel, how you respond to life, and how much capacity you have each day. We'll explore: ✨ Mental Energy – How your thoughts, beliefs and perceptions can either fuel you or quietly drain you. ✨ Emotional Energy – Why unresolved emotional baggage, emotional resilience and your ability to process life's challenges have a bigger impact on your wellbeing than most people realise. ✨ Physical Energy – The importance of nourishing your body, moving it, resting it and supporting your health without expecting your body to compensate for everything else. ✨ Environmental Energy – How your relationships, the people you spend time with, and the spaces you live and work in are constantly influencing your nervous system and your energy levels. The biggest mistake I see? Most people put all of their attention into the area they think needs fixing, while completely overlooking the other three. You can't think your way out of emotional exhaustion. You can't exercise your way out of toxic relationships. And you can't expect your body to thrive when your mind, emotions or environment are constantly working against you. Real, lasting energy comes from looking at the whole picture. If you've been feeling flat, overwhelmed or like you're running on empty no matter what you try, this episode will help you understand why—and show you where to start. If this episode resonated with you, I'd love you to share it with someone who's been saying, "I'm just so tired." And if you're ready to take this work deeper, come and join me inside the Energy Reset Challenge, where we'll work through each of these four energy systems together so you can stop surviving and start feeling like yourself again. https://amandakatelifestyle.com.au/energy-reset Let’s connect: IG: @amanda_kate_coach Join my free community: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1Hj6pUEhn2/?mibextid=wwXIfr More resources: www.amandakatelifestyle.com.au About Amanda Kate Amanda is a Master of NLP therapy, hypnotherapist, holistic lifestyle and empowerment  coach and works to inspire women to transform their mind and body for a lifetime of health and happiness. Stop Putting People on Pedestals

What if the people you admire aren't proof that you're behind... What if they're proof of what's possible? In this episode, I'm sharing one of the biggest mindset shifts I had while attending a business event in Arizona, surrounded by seven and nine-figure business owners, speakers and mentors I'd admired for years. From the outside, it's easy to believe successful people have something we don't—more confidence, more certainty, more discipline, more courage. But here's what I realised... They're just people. They have fears. They doubt themselves. They make mistakes. They have hard days. The difference isn't that they're extraordinary. The difference is they've continued to back themselves despite the fear. In this episode, we explore why putting people on pedestals can quietly erode your confidence, how comparison disconnects you from your own power, and why the qualities you admire in others are often reflections of strengths that already exist within you. In this episode, we'll explore: Why we naturally idolise successful peopleThe hidden cost of putting others on a pedestalHow comparison causes us to outsource our confidenceWhy proximity changes the way we see successThe difference between admiring someone and diminishing yourselfHow to use inspiration as evidence of what's possible instead of proof you're not enoughPractical mindset shifts to help you back yourself and step into your own potentialIf you've ever caught yourself thinking... "She's just got something I don't." This episode is your reminder that she doesn't. She's simply showing you what's possible when someone keeps saying yes to themselves. If this conversation resonated with you, I also recommend listening to my earlier episode: Imposter Syndrome Isn't a Syndrome — It's a Mirror It pairs perfectly with this episode, exploring why feeling like an imposter isn't evidence that you don't belong—it's often a sign that your identity is catching up to your growth. Together, these two episodes will help you stop seeking permission, trust yourself more deeply, and step into the next version of you with confidence. 🎧 You can find "Imposter Syndrome Isn't a Syndrome — It's a Mirror" wherever you're listening to this podcast. Fine But Empty — When You Look Like You’re Coping But You’re Not

From the outside, you look fine. You’re functioning. Showing up. Managing your responsibilities. Getting things done. But internally? You feel flat. Disconnected. Emotionally exhausted. Like you’re surviving your life instead of actually experiencing it. In this episode, we unpack what I call “quiet depletion” — the nervous system state so many high-functioning women are living in without even realising it. Because depletion doesn’t always look like falling apart. Sometimes it looks like constantly coping while slowly losing connection to yourself. In this episode, I share the real reason so many women feel emotionally numb, exhausted and disconnected despite still functioning day to day  and why the answer isn’t simply “doing less.” We explore what’s actually happening inside the nervous system when your body has been carrying too much stress, pressure and emotional load for too long. And honestly? This episode is probably going to make a lot of women feel deeply seen. In This Episode We Explore: What “quiet depletion” actually isWhy so many high-functioning women feel emotionally flat and disconnectedThe nervous system patterns behind exhaustion, numbness and shutdownWhat happens when your body stays in survival mode for too longWhy your environment impacts your nervous system more than you realiseThe connection between depletion and disconnection from selfWhy holidays and surface-level self-care often don’t create lasting changeHow movement, nature and reconnection help regulate the nervous systemThe early warning signs your body is asking for attentionIf This Episode Landed… Share it with someone who’s been “holding it together” lately, subscribe to the podcast or leave a 5-star review. Because feeling disconnected from yourself isn’t something you need to just “put up with.” Sometimes your body isn’t failing you… It’s trying to bring you back to yourself. Feel It to Heal It — Why Suppressed Emotions Will Hold You Back

Most people don’t actually process their emotions. They avoid them. Suppress them. Distract themselves from them. Numb them. Push through them. And then wonder why they still feel heavy, reactive, anxious, emotionally exhausted or disconnected from themselves. Because emotions that aren’t properly processed don’t just disappear. They stay stored in the body. In this episode, we unpack why emotional suppression impacts your nervous system, your health, your relationships and your ability to feel safe, connected and fully present in your life. Because “feeling your feelings” isn’t about becoming emotional all the time. It’s about learning how to safely process and move emotional energy through the body instead of carrying it for years. And honestly? Most women were never taught how to do that. So instead, they become high-functioning suppressors. Holding it together on the outside while their nervous system slowly becomes more overwhelmed underneath. In this episode, I share why emotional release matters, what happens when emotions stay trapped in the body, and how learning to process emotions properly can completely change the way you experience life. In This Episode We Explore: Why suppressed emotions don’t just disappearHow emotional avoidance impacts the nervous systemThe connection between emotional suppression and physical symptomsHow unprocessed emotions create reactivity, exhaustion and shutdownThe difference between emotional dumping and emotional processingWhy safety matters when it comes to emotional releaseThe ONE thing people miss when starting to rebuild their relationship with their emotions! If This Episode Landed… Share it with someone who’s been bottling everything up lately, subscribe to the podcast or leave a 5-star review. Because healing doesn’t happen by endlessly thinking about your emotions… It happens when your body finally feels safe enough to process them. Ready to Actually Do This Work? Imposter Syndrome Isn’t a Syndrome — It’s a Mirror

Imposter syndrome gets thrown around like a diagnosis. But what if it’s not a syndrome at all? What if the feeling of being an “imposter” is simply what happens when your environment expands faster than your identity… and your nervous system hasn’t caught up yet? In this episode, we unpack the real reason imposter syndrome feels so consuming and why most people spiral into shame instead of using the moment for growth. Because the truth is — sometimes the feeling isn’t lying. Sometimes it’s reflecting something back to you and in this episode i share with you exactly what it could be showing you. In This Episode We Explore: Why imposter syndrome isn’t actually a “syndrome”The real reason comparison triggers feelings of inadequacyHow your nervous system reacts when your identity expandsWhy intimidating environments are often mirrors of your potentiaHow outdated beliefs keep you feeling like you don’t belongThe identity shift required to grow into your next levelIf This Episode Landed… Share it with someone who’s been doubting themselves lately, subscribe to this podcast or please leave a 5 star review! Our Inner Child and Reconnecting To The Heart with Lucy Ellis

Lucy Ellis joins us for an honest and grounding conversation about the power of introspection, reconnecting to our inner child and bringing ourselves back to the heart. So many of us move through our days on autopilot reacting, pushing through, and ignoring how we actually feel until our nervous system forces us to pay attention. In this episode, we explore why self-reflection isn’t indulgent or “woo,” but a practical and essential part of emotional maturity, nervous system regulation, and conscious living. We discuss how checking in with yourself daily can radically change the way you show up in your relationships, make decisions, communicate, and respond to stress and why ignoring your internal state often leads to repeated patterns, burnout, and emotional overwhelm. In this episode, we cover: How daily check-ins support emotional regulation and nervous system safetyHow we are really just children in adult bodies! And how to honour our little triggered inner childSimple ways to build the habit of checking in without it becoming another “to-do”How to reconnect to the heart Key takeaway:  Self-reflection isn’t about overthinking — it’s about self-responsibility.  When you learn to check in with yourself regularly, you stop abandoning your internal world and start leading from clarity instead of survival mode. 🎧 Listen to the full episode now on your favourite podcast platform.
