My little life has been steady for years, but somewhere along the way, I created a shipwreck, and now I'm trying to patch it up. I've spent time looking back at different moments of my life, reflecting on the mistakes I've made and wondering which voyage I could have taken to avoid the collision. What could I have done differently? Which decisions would have led me somewhere else? And would I even recognise the person I might have become? I think about random moments and the little things that have stayed with me over the years. My first time climbing Arthur's Seat. The first day I skipped a meal. The moment I decided to go vegetarian. The crush I had on my trainer. And then there are the heavier memories, like death and the several encounters with it during my time working in care. I know it might sound strange to say that I loved my clients, but I love human beings of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds and beliefs. In a world where division seems to be everywhere, I believe love can be the answer to so many of the things that separate us. I want to love people, and more importantly, I want to learn how to show it. I've not always done the best job of expressing my love and appreciation for the people around me, including those who might not particularly like me. And I don't love people because a God created them. I love them because they're human. Perhaps that's what Sweet Memories is really about: looking back at the experiences that have made us who we are, acknowledging the good and the bad, and learning to appreciate the fact that we got to experience them at all. Not every memory is sweet, but perhaps there's something to be found in revisiting them. For now, these are some of the thoughts and memories I can share with you. I hope to keep sharing more of them on this podcast, one episode at a time. And if I can't, I'll figure it out. Until next week, or until next time, Clinton, I love you. Goodbye for now. **Disclaimer** Hello, It’s Clinton, the host and founder of the "Where's My Mind" podcast. As a creator who passionately delivers weekly podcasts, I want to share an important perspective with you. Our podcast covers a wide array of topics, and naturally, the opinions and viewpoints I express are subject to evolve over time. This evolution is a reflection of personal growth, changing circumstances, and the dynamic nature of the world around us. The adage, "the only constant in life is change," has been a guiding principle for me. It's crucial to recognise that perspectives on what is deemed right or wrong, good or bad, can shift with time and experience. As we navigate through different phases of life, our understanding and interpretation of various subjects will inevitably change. Therefore, as you journey with us through each episode, please bear in mind that my opinions and thoughts, whether about current events or past experiences, are fluid and may transform as we progress. This openness to change is not only a part of our podcast's ethos but also a reflection of the human experience. Thank you for your continued support and understanding. Warm regards, Clinton the Where's My Mind podcast team.
