    John 10: What Does It Mean To Belong To The Good Shepherd?

    Send us Fan Mail What does it mean to belong to the Good Shepherd? In this episode of the ABIDE Podcast, we continue our journey through the Gospel of John in the series A Love That Changes Everything as we come to John 10:1–18 and one of the most beautiful pictures Jesus gives us of His relationship with us: “I am the good shepherd.” Jesus reminds us that His sheep are known by name, hear His voice, and are cared for, protected, guided, and loved by Him. But He also gives us a warning. There is a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. As we look at those words, we’ll consider the ways the enemy works to steal our peace, joy, identity, and hope—and the powerful contrast Jesus gives us: “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” We’ll spend time in Psalm 23, reflecting on the beautiful ways our Shepherd provides for us, restores our souls, walks with us through dark valleys, and promises that His goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives. And perhaps most importantly, we’ll be reminded that the emphasis isn’t on how inadequate the sheep are, but on how faithful the Shepherd is. He knows His own. And His own know Him. So, what has the thief stolen, killed, or tried to destroy in your life? Where might Jesus be inviting you to receive His comfort, restoration, and abundant life? And who in your life still needs to hear the voice of the Good Shepherd?     John 9: Give Me Eyes To See

    Send us Fan Mail What does it mean to truly see? In John 9, Jesus encounters a man who was born blind. While others see his blindness as a problem to explain, Jesus sees a person to love. He opens the man's physical eyes, but as the story unfolds, something even greater happens—his spiritual eyes begin to open as he comes to see Jesus for who He truly is. And then, after the man is rejected and cast out by the religious leaders, we find one of the most beautiful glimpses into the heart of Jesus: “Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him…” Jesus didn't heal him and forget him. He went looking for him. In this episode, we’ll explore what this story teaches us about suffering, spiritual blindness, faith, rejection, and the faithful pursuit of Jesus. We’ll also consider an important question for ourselves: Are we still seeing Jesus, or have we become so familiar with Him that our spiritual eyes have grown dull? And perhaps the prayer we need to carry with us this week is a simple one: “Jesus, give me eyes to see.” Eyes to see Him more clearly. Eyes to see what He is doing. And eyes to see the people around us the way He sees them. Because when we truly see Jesus, His love changes everything.     John 8: Abide In The Truth

    Send us Fan Mail What does it really mean to abide in Jesus? As we close out John chapter 8, Jesus gives us a beautiful and challenging invitation: “If you abide in My word, you are truly My disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” In this episode of the Abide Podcast, we explore what it means to remain, dwell, and continue in Jesus and His Word. We’ll look at the difference between simply believing in Jesus and becoming an abiding disciple whose life is continually shaped by Him. Jesus also exposes the reality of spiritual bondage and the lies of the enemy. When we understand that we cannot recognize a lie unless we know the truth, we begin to see why Scripture is so essential to our daily lives. God’s Word becomes our sword against deception, our protection from sin, and a lamp to guide our steps. And as the conversation with the religious leaders intensifies, Jesus makes one of the most astonishing declarations in all of Scripture: “Before Abraham was, I AM.” This isn't simply a statement about who Jesus was—it is a declaration of who He is. He is the Truth that sets us free. He is the Light that shines in the darkness. He is the Word who became flesh. He is the great I AM. So the question John leaves us with is one we must each answer: Will we simply believe in Jesus, or will we abide in Him?     John 8: Neither Do I Condemn You

    Send us Fan Mail In this series of A Love That Changes Everything, we slow down to study one of the most beloved and powerful encounters in the Gospel of John—John 7:53–8:11, the account of the woman caught in adultery. Before the accusations begin, John gives us a simple but significant detail: Jesus spent the night on the Mount of Olives, a place where He often withdrew to pray and commune with His Father. What can we learn from the rhythm of Jesus' life? How did His time with the Father prepare Him to respond with both truth and grace? As the religious leaders drag a broken woman before Jesus, hoping to trap Him, we witness the stunning contrast between religion and the Gospel. Religion rushes to condemn. Jesus pauses. Religion looks for someone to blame. Jesus looks for someone to restore.     John 7: Who Is Jesus?

    Send us Fan Mail In a world where everyone has an opinion about Jesus, how do we know who He really is? In this episode of A Love That Changes Everything, we continue our journey through the Gospel of John as we explore chapter 7. During the Feast of Tabernacles, opinions about Jesus were everywhere. His brothers doubted Him, the crowds debated Him, the religious leaders opposed Him, and the temple guards were sent to arrest Him. Yet through it all, Jesus remained steady because His identity was rooted in the Father who sent Him—not in the approval or rejection of people. Together, we'll discover why Jesus never allowed public opinion to define His mission, why He repeatedly pointed people back to the Father, and what His powerful invitation, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink," still means for us today.     John 6: I AM the Bread of Life

After feeding the five thousand, the crowds pursue Jesus hoping for another meal, but Jesus lovingly redirects their attention to a deeper reality: every human heart carries a hunger that cannot be satisfied by temporary things. Success, comfort, relationships, possessions, and accomplishments may offer momentary fulfillment, but they can never satisfy the deepest longings of the soul.     John 6: More Than Enough

    Send us Fan Mail Have you ever found yourself staring at a situation that felt bigger than your ability, resources, or strength to handle? Maybe you've felt underprepared, overwhelmed, stretched thin, or simply not enough. In this episode of the Abide Podcast, we continue our journey through the Gospel of John as we explore the familiar story of Jesus feeding the five thousand in John 6:1-15. While this miracle is often remembered for the multiplication of bread and fish, it reveals something even greater about the heart of Jesus: He is able to take our smallest offerings and use them for His glory. Together we'll discover how Jesus tested His disciples' faith, challenged them to look beyond their limitations, and demonstrated that God's provision is never dependent on the size of our resources but on the greatness of His power.
