    I made this poem when I was realizing that the world is valuing commercialism more so than personality and uniqueness. I think it's important to stop and don't get confused.

    Them At The Mic

    I wrote this poem after attending a conference where a teenager spoke to a crowd of adults. The teenager was clearly nervous and had a shakey voice, but the content of their message was inspiring to all of the audience. I walked away in awe.

    Strength

    I wrote this poem after a particularly hard day that I had cried. A quote came to my head by Eleanore Roosevelt, "Women are like teabags. You don't know how strong they are until you put them in hot water." At that moment I realized it wasn't the lack of difficulties around me that made me strong, but rather my willingness to keep facing them.

    I wrote the poem Before I Sleep on a night when my mind wouldn't settle down. I often feel like my best ideas keep me awake at night and the only thing that helps me fall asleep is writing down my thoughts.

    Color on the Wall

    Color on the Wall was a poem inspired by a meeting held in a blue room. The meeting started cheerful and fun and soon drifted into an intimidating conversation. The walls were painted unnaturally blue and stood out vividly in my memory along with the drastic mood swing from comfort to calamity.
