    episode #3 - NYCO RUDOLPH (winnipeg, MB) // "I want to use illustration as a vessel to tell the stories living inside me." Nyco is a Winnipeg-based illustrator with a penchant for Prohibiton-era gangsters, bears, dinosaurs and the absurd. When not at his drawing desk, Nyco is on the road bringing his special flavour of art to the Canadian masses: an eclectic mix of propaganda style, anthropomorphic animals, old school 3D and film noir. He is working on the finishing touches of his second book, and his first book, "When Big Bears Invade" is available now.

    mastering the ego with GABRIELA OCEJO

    Episode #2 - GABRIELA OCEJO (argentina, SA) // "The scene is made by the musicians". Gabriela is an Argentine-born, Treaty 1-based guitarist and songwriter. Raised in a musical family, Gabi’s father, guitarist Guillermo Ocejo was a major influence to her love of music and artistry, introducing her to Jazz, Tango and Argentinean Folklore. Gabi continued honing her craft playing with her talented hometown musician friends in Buenos Aires and Bahia Blanca, as she bounced back and forth between the continents. After relocating to Winnipeg in 2011, Gabi became immersed in the local arts and cultural community. Her range in style, gift in songwriting and tasteful arrangements quickly made Gabi a mainstay of Winnipeg music scene, effortlessly collaborating with some of the city’s best musicians across a range of styles including all-female Jazz Manouche band, Juvel; 7-piece traditional swing band, Sunny Roseland; folk-roots songwriter and Crooked Brother, Matt Foster; and Polaris Prize-nominated 8-piece live hip-hop ensemble, Super Duty Tough Work. Recently, Gabi has started her own project, showcasing her skill as a songwriter and arranger. Gabi’s music blends her love for R&B, jazz, pop and neo soul, with lyrics that earnestly examine the joy, pain and neurosis of contemporary city living. With a series of EPs on the horizon, Gabi’s band features Ashley Au, Holly Stratton and Kevin Waters

    episode #1 - MICAH ERENBERG (matlock, MB) // "The hardest thing to say is how you feel because then it becomes real." Canada’s Micah Erenberg knows the risk in wearing your heart on your sleeve, he's been knocked down and built himself up again and again and on 'Love Is Gonna Find You' he does this and more. The young Manitoban explores the importance of a shared experience; one that can make someone feel brighter, understood and less alone. Designed to lift his listeners into a sphere of delicate fulfilment and painting loneliness as a universal craving for human connection and authenticity. With love, comes pain. Micah’s commentary of life through his lens is a kaleidoscope of memories, merged together to produce something ultimately positive and life-affirming. //
