First of all…Proverbs 22:29 to you paster Howerton ! I can’t believe I just discovered this podcast. I am two episodes in and it has skyrocketed to the very top of my podcast list! If you want to listen to accurate Bible teaching with rock solid theology rooted in the unapologetic truth of the scriptures - delivered with fine tuned humor from a dyed in the wool biblicist look no further! ( and even though I burned my copy of The Message decade ago and can’t believe he didn’t even include the Legacy Standard s Bible in his line up and do really enjoy paper straws - I’m still giving this podcast as many stars as I can count!)

Keep it coming, Mr. Josh Howerton. When you do these responses, it’s so helpful because the responses are on current issues and you just come with so much information and and biblical backing that it really helps give me the language of responding in a Christlike manner and formulating my thoughts on current events. I believe also that you’re preparing me to be on the lookout for what to see in society and politics and how to train my kids to be ready for the world they will grow up into. Wow, Josh, have you ever thought about practicing what you preach? I think you are wrong in your assessment of the Renee Good shooting and you Josh, in fact, are the one reacting instead of responding . Your gut reaction is to defend and protect the Trump administration and their actions of putting ICE on the ground in cities across America, creating chaos. Yes, the Minnesota politicians are corrupt, and they have a lot of corruption to answer to, but that doesn’t mean they are wrong about wanting ICE out of their cities… I don’t think ICE is properly trained for dealing with civilians in a protest environment. There were other parts of the video that clearly showed Renee was in reverse, (in order to maneuver her vehicle out of the way ), and she was not being aggressive, in fact she was fawning, her voice was high pitched saying “I’m not mad at you (ICE agent)”. She was trying to leave the scene peacefully. The fact that the officer who shot her three or four times was also the same agent who was dragged by another car six months ago simply shows he should not have been on active duty. Also, after she was shot , she was not immediately given medical attention, it took 15 minutes for ambulance to arrive and during that time a bystander, who claimed to be a doctor tried to give her medical attention and ICE agents denied the doctor access to her. That shows a severe lack of training. I don’t blame ICE agents, they obviously aren’t trained for civilian protests and are being put into situations that they aren’t trained for.
